This is also hardcoded and will likely break on an update. I will try to figure out a better way to do it.
This is a patcher that will edit the game's .exe file to bypass the signature requirement for paks. To use it, run the .exe from the zip, select the game's exe that is located in Hi-Fi RUSH\Hibiki\Binaries\Win64 and then hit OK again to output the patched exe.
Windows store version will require the game files to be editable. There are tutorials out there for that.
Because Steam will try to load the original .exe name, rename your original .exe to something else (e.g., BUHi-Fi-RUSH.exe) and rename the Patched Hi-Fi-RUSH.exe to the original name. Launch the game as usual, and mods should now work.
For mods of files included in .paks rather than .ucas, you need to add -fileopenlog to launch parameters for the game (required for both Steam and Windows Store). https://i.imgur.com/ThiRaqd.png
Note: This game's engine is very customized and certain mods likely won't work without a custom engine. I may make a custom engine for it eventually.
