Ascendio Portable is an unofficial performance hotfix for Hogwarts Legacy, developed by Seifu. It is distributed using SIA | Public, an open-source installer also developed by me (Seifu) which has a clean, user friendly interface, intended to be as intuitive and straightforward as possible. The application runs natively on the Steam Deck's KDE Plasma desktop mode, so the installation should be pretty fast and easy.
Ascendio Portable is based on Ascendio III, and currently includes the following installation modules:
- FPS Hotfix: a port of the original FPS Hotfix for Steam Deck. Reduces stutterings and provides a 10% performance gain compared to vanilla, which translates to around 5 fps more.
| - Fine-Tune: automatically sets the most optimal graphics settings for Hogwarts Legacy on Steam Deck.
Please be aware that this is an unofficial hotfix, not a form of black magic. Some performance issues in Hogwarts Legacy stem from backend bugs and core function issues, which ideally should be addressed by the developers in the editor. Therefore, while the mod can be effective, it doesn't resolve all stuttering problems, only the majority of them.
This mod is in a very early stage of development, so it's still missing some modules. FSR3 is based on Nukem9's implementation, which can't run on the Steam Deck for the time being. However, the Ray Tracing Hotfix will most likely be included in a future update.
I've tested the mod on a Steam Deck OLED, and it runs fine: all the installation paths are set automatically, and it works flawlessly. Please let me know if you encounter any issues with this application

Launch the game for the first time if you haven't already for it to generate the config files Ascendio is supposed to tweak. Then you can just extract and run the installer! It's the file called "Ascendio Portable Installer, it's inside the provided .zip file. You'll find both the installation and uninstallation buttons on the application's first page.
