About this mod

Nearly all the spells in the game have been upgraded and enhanced ten-fold. Even the basic cast deals about 500 damage and can now break all shield types. Check the optional files for alternate, less OP versions if you prefer.

Nearly all the spells in the game have been upgraded and enhanced ten-fold. Even the basic cast deals about 500 damage. Red spells can do over 4000 damage and break all shield types. Try out confringo. 

Installation: 
It's a .pak mod I made by editing the PhoenixGameData.sqlite with sqlitestudio, specifically the SpellDefinition section. 
It's installed like all the other pak mods, Just open the provided zip file using your preferred tool such as 7zip. Place the provided .pak file in your ~mods folder which should be located at: Hogwarts Legacy\Phoenix\Content\Paks\~mods

Note:
if you have another mod using the PhoenixShipData.sqlite file, this will not work unless you use a merging tool, from here https://www.nexusmods.com/hogwartslegacy/mods/178
Don't forget to click the red exclamation point button in the mod merger to make the file compatible before you merge! 


Update 2/14:
I rebalanced some spells like flipendo and exelliarmus to not deal so much damage. The basic cast can now break all shield types, as well as most other spells.

NEW:
I decided to make a lite version that has much of the same features as the original, just toned down a few notches. Most of the spells still break all shields, except for Confringo, and Diffindo and all red spells now have cooldowns, but faster than the original. For example, Confringo originally has a 10 seconds cooldown, now has 2 seconds. See the full breakdown here. Also did a little more balancing to the original "xtreme" version and this time I modified the Deathly Hallows spell cooldowns which I had missed before. The bottom section of the spreadsheet above shows the current breakdown of the values. But the spells are still very overpowered in the original version. Diffindo especially.

Also one more note : For grey shields (which are quite rare), only ancient magic or unforgivable spells will break those.

2/19: Arresto momentum now breaks most shield types (Red, yellow and purple).
2/20: Updated Lite spells version as some users were having a problem where diffindo would never cooldown.
2/21: Updated OP Spells so glacius, transformation, arresto momentum, and levioso's effects last up to 5 minutes and each can affect up to 8 enemies rather than the default 3.
2/23: Made some adjustments to the last set of spells.  You can now transform up to 25 enemies and the effects last 50 actual minutes. This gives you plenty of time to stack lots of enemies without them transforming back. I also increased the distance that wingardium leviosa can be cast. A very much-needed boost. You can now stack your transformed enemies with ease. This is currently my favorite thing to do in game. Merge my OP spells mod with my Hogwarts Express schedule fix and find enemies near the train tracks. Transform them into barrels and stack them on the tracks. Train comes roughly every 5 minutes. Tons of fun.
