JoJoAPI is a modding API for JoJo's Bizzare Adventure: All-Star Battle R
It also works for NARUTO X BORUTO Ultimate Ninja Storm CONNECTIONS

Also known as JAPI, it allows the expanded use of plugins and mods that are more compatible with each other! It also comes with a built-in loader for CPK files, important for audio and video modding and adding new files to the game (which cannot be done with
data_win32).

Version 3.0.2 of JAPI is only geared to work for the latest version fof JoJo ASBR, v2.3.0 (Wonder of U update).
The last update to JAPI Updater was [2024/09/02]. If you have a download from before then, it's recommended you download the latest one.
Using the latest version of JAPI with an older version of ASBR will likely not work. HOWEVER, support for older versions may be added in the not-so-distant future!

Installation
For a more detailed installation guide, check out the JoJoAPI wiki page.

  • Download the latest release of the "JAPI Updater" from the Files tab and put it into your Steam ASBR folder (where ASBR.exe is located).
  • Run JAPIUpdater.exe. It's recommended that you allow automatic updates (for the obvious reasons).
  • To launch the game via Steam in future, open ASBR's properties and change the launch path to "<your_game_path>/JAPIUpdater.exe" %command% (quotation marks included). An example path would be: "G:\SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\JoJo's Bizarre Adventure All-Star Battle R\JAPIUpdater.exe" %command%
  • The game should then launch and work okay! If you have any issues, please join discord.gg/jojomodding for personalised help. Otherwise, enjoy!

You can customise some settings in the japi/config/updater.cfg file (can be opened with any text editor). Just make sure NOT to change the asbr_hash, ignore_hashes or version settings, as those are important for the updater to know what to update.
