About this image
I know that mod ideas are cringe. But I think that this could be a game changer for environmental design in this game. I would try it myself, but I cant even change a dinosaur texture myself without the game crashing, and I dont know what Im doing wrong or if its something with my computer
Essentially, this would just be a texture that looks like flowing water. They would come in various angles, the lowest being the same angle as between two water sources between one terrain contour line, long enough to reach both water edges. The highest would be near vertical.
You can place rows and columns of them along a slope, because minute movement could drastically change the height level due to how the games terrain system works.
With this, it would allow us to not only make representations of waterfalls, but also just streams and rivers flowing down between different height levels without garish gaps of land between them. It would really improve how this game looks. And I hope a more talented modder can bring this idea to life for the good of all mankind

I can imagine that it should work. I only changed the material setting of the aviarium in Blender and you can see a waterfall. If a modder is interested in designing waterfalls, get in touch with me.
It'd be a static object and wouldnt look good.

I'm also missing waterfalls from my parks..
I don't know how this works, I'm just spitballing.
Chances are, I'll get a puffed up modder who knows their game telling me that there's no way in heck it'll work and that it's a stupid idea, because that's what always happens with these mod ideas.
Just be nice guys. There's no wrong answer in brainstorming.
This is a hopeful idea.
Just copy the waterfalls from the game and make them a scenery. Even tho they might miss some textures from any of the other sides.
