Mod idea for better Ornithopods

About this image

The last time I saw a beautiful Mod when they turned the Dilophosaurus into a more accurate variant based on the 2020 study; at the beginning, I was thinking that it would be just a reskin that would keep around those small inaccurate Dilos, but what a surprise when it actually gave it the animations and even larger size similar to a Majungasaurus.
I just fell in love with this, and now my park is full of better Dilophosaurus than before, and that got me thinking if this could be applied to other Dinosaurus in an attempt to give them a more accurate look.

This brings me to the idea: find a way to inject the quadrupedal position and animations from some Hadrosaurs (Edmontosaurus and Maiasaura) and bring them into the poor Hadrosaurs that are condemned to walk in two legs all the time, in a pretty inaccurate way (Parasaurolophus, Corythosaurus, Tsintaosaurus, and Olorotitan).
At the same time, we could bring these bipedal models and animations into the Ornithopods that actually walked in two legs (Muttaburrasaurus).
With this, representing actual fossil formations and accurate dinosaurs (which this community has given a lot of precious models) could be a lot easier, and the Hadrosaurs would look a lot more beautiful this way.

I would enjoy this a lot, but sadly it's not possible at the moment. Rigs and animations cannot be changed yet, and nobody knows if modders will ever be able to do it in the first place. The best way that somebody could attempt to do this is modifying the models of quadrupedal species to look like the inaccurate bipedal ones.

I know that animations cannot be changed in the existing model, but as I said someone make a Dilophosaurus Model that could be just a replacement for Majungasaurus (like that other Mod that replaces Metriacantho for an adult Dilo) but instead of that it appears as an actual Dilophosaurus with the animations and size of a Majugasaurus.
Maybe we could use models that are intended to replace Edmontosaurus, for example, with Parasaurolophus; but instead making whatever this person did to manage that the Parasaurolophus files have this model without replacing Edmontosaurus.

I'm just hoping, I would try to do it myself if I could. Modding is breaking a lot of barriers lately and I really hope to see more, more Mods that give this game the potential it could have had.

Yes, but it's just the model that's its changing like you said yourself. It would still have the animations AND RIG of the Majungasaurus ("with the animations and size of Majungasaurus"). And you cannot use models that were intended to replace Edmontosaurus with Parasaurolophus, because their model skeletons are different and the rigs are different, which would cause many glitches, bugs, etc, etc.
Another thing: if you are trying to say that the person who made the 2020 Dilophosaurus mod took model assets from the Dilophosaurus and put them on the Metriacanthosaurus, your statement is flawed. While Putito777 may have used the model of the JWE Dilophosaurus as reference, he most likely just edited the model of the Metri to look like Brian Engh's Dilophosaurus puppet without actually using parts of the  model from the JWE Dilophosaurus.

I'd honestly be happy and willing to settle with a quadruped Para using Edmontosaurus as a base with the typical replacer method.

    100% down for this.
For canon dinosaurs like Corythosaurus and Parasaurolophus, i begrudgingly accepted it.
But sorely wished Tsintaosaurus and Olorotitan were obligate quadrupeds that only ran bipedally.

But now with modding i always hoped that all the obligate bipedal hadrosaurs were converted to their more natural state like Edmontosaurus and Maiasaura.
I think bipedal hadrosaurs are by far the least glaring inaccuracies the franchise has committed. But now with modding being advanced so much and such a little time. I would love to see Ornithopods getting more love in more ways than one.

Yeah, I always try to get the most accurate models that I found around here, that's why I bought the game on Pc for the first place.
I just love well-represented Dinosaurs because I like to make exhibits based on Fossil Formations or reconstructing Paleo-environments (the A.I. doesn't help, of course. But at least they look so beautiful in the Screenshots).
And it's sad that most of the time I have to skip all Hadrosaurs except the only two quadrupedal because they just look so off between the other moded Dinos in the ecosystems. I just hope one day I can see a precious quadrupedal Parasaurolophus around my Dinosaur Park Paddock.

Lol same, completely changing a Jurassic licensed game into basically Prehistoric Kingdom before Prehistoric Kingdom even comes out is the entire reason i got the game on PC lol. Same with only making exhibits about specific formations at a time. I tried making exhibits that just mash things together, but i just couldn't do it. It's like seeing Gazelle and Moose in the same enclosure lol.

But yeah same, even if we'll just have to settle with Parasaurolophus using Edmontosaurus and Muttaburrasaurus using old Para as a base. It's still a vast improvement.
