In this tutorial, we will walk you through the process of downloading and installing save files from Nexus Mods into Jurassic World Evolution 2 (JWE2). The save files allow you to pick up from where someone else left off, or enjoy pre-made islands and progress.

Requirements

• Jurassic World Evolution 2 installed.
• Nexus Mods Account (for downloading save files).
• Basic knowledge of your PC's file explorer.
  

• Go to Nexus Mods.
• If you don’t already have an account, click on Register in the top right corner and fill out the necessary details.
• Once registered, log in to your account.
  

• On the Nexus Mods homepage, type “Jurassic World Evolution 2 save files” in the search bar.
• You will see a list of available save files created by the community.
• Browse through the files to find one that suits your needs, like a fully developed park or a specific island.
• Click on the save file of your choice to access its page.
  

• On the save file page, look for the Files tab.
• Select the Manual Download option (this will give you the raw save file).
• Choose a download location on your PC and save the file.
  

• Open File Explorer (Windows) or Finder (Mac).
• Navigate to the following location:
  • Windows: C:\Users\[Your Username]\AppData\Local\Jurassic World Evolution 2\Saved\SaveGames
  • Mac: ~/Library/Application Support/Steam/userdata/[Your Steam ID]/1244460/remote/
    
  (Note: On Windows, "AppData" is a hidden folder, so ensure hidden files are visible or manually type the path in the address bar.)
  

• Inside the SaveGames folder, you'll see various files (these are your existing save files).
• Unzip the downloaded save file (if it’s in a ZIP folder) using programs like WinRAR, 7-Zip, or any archive tool.
• After extracting, copy the downloaded save file into the SaveGames folder.
  • Make sure the file format is .sav.
    
• Once copied, rename the save file if necessary to avoid conflicts with existing saves. (This is optional but useful if you want to keep multiple saves organized.)
  

• Open Jurassic World Evolution 2.
• Go to the Load Game option from the main menu.
• You should now see the newly installed save file in your list of saved games.
• Select the save file and load it to continue your journey!
  

• Go to your SaveGames folder (C:\Users\[Your Username]\AppData\Local\Jurassic World Evolution 2\Saved\SaveGames).
• Copy all the files from this folder to a backup location (like an external drive or cloud storage).
