I usually wouldnt post stuff like this, but I realised certain rigs/models in the game could be used to make animals you might not expect, (like Masterdoot often does, just as an example)

So, I've realised there's quite a variety of rigs in the game now. Obviously things like whales on plesiosaurs and various reptiles on dimetrodon are all genius ideas. But I thought of some more people may not have considered. This is purely just putting ideas out there, not telling anyone to do anything, not expecting, just putting ideas out there. Nothing else. For all I know people have already thought of half of these.

The main reason I'm making this post is, Minmi. Minmi is seemingly a really good rig for a lot of pseudosuchians. Armadillosuchus is the first thing that came to mind, and I love the image of it feeding from ViralCyclopes' termite feeders. It could also be used on many Triassic animals like Lotosaurus, Arizonasaurus, Erythrosuchids, Aetosaurs, or even scutosaurus or dicynodonts with similar builds. Even smaller sebecids or small ceratopsians (as previously seen with juvenile Triceratops mods). Hyperodapedon could definitely fit well on the lystro rig, for a similar shaped animal of smaller size.

As seen with many recent mods, Dimetrodon is a breath of fresh air when it comes to the morphologies available to modders. Countless basal archosaurs could use its rig, from Proterosuchids, to Teleocrater, or the aforementioned Erythrosuchids, or terrestrial Phytosaurs. Quinkana also comes to mind.

Iguanodon is often used for many unique species, but the CC Ouranosaurus could also be used like this, for animals like Saurosuchus, Boverisuchids or Sebecids, and many other similarly shaped animals such as Gorgonopsids or even mammals (Chasmosaurus and Styracosaurus would also work well here, as with the brilliant Anteosaurus mod).

How about a Silesaurid on our tiny stegosaurs?

Nothosaurus is also a brilliant rig that might allow for such unique animals as choristoderes, placodonts, atopodentatus, giant amphibians, vanclevea, Eretmorhipis, tannystropheus and more! Again, another good rig for Triassic oddities. If I had more cash I'd probably commission the Triassic weirdos pack lol

Dunkleosteus is amazing because it allows for proper fish to be added. But why not use it for animals with similar body plans that arent fish? Icthyosaurs between the size of Shoni and Icthy, such as Temnodontosaurus or Cymbospondylus, or mid-sized Mosasaurs.

Next, this might be more of a stretch, and Im not sure how difficult it would be, nor how good it would actually look, but Im aware modders are now capable of replicating the feathers of say Pyroraptor on another animal. But has anyone tried putting it on a pterosaur rig? Because voila, birds. Birds that walk on their front legs, but eh, close enough. If that doesnt work, different ideas, Yi qui or Sharovipteryx using the Jeholopterus rig. Or even Microraptor. Though I can see how that would be extremely challenging, again these are just ideas for people to think about, nothing more.

Another rig I could see being used for weird things is the Indoraptor, again Pseudosuchians make sense here, but I could see it even working with a semi-quadrupedal spinosaur. Hererasaurus and Ceolophysis also suits Pseudosuchian rigs, the former for something like Popsaurus, the latter for say Effigia.

Im almost finished I swear, but for a long time the go to small dinosaur rig was Homalocephale, but now, theres another rig calling to every lover of small Ornithischians and little theropods. Oviraptor. I never see it used, maybe its difficuilt to work with, but this little guy could be used for anything from Heterodontosaurus and Kulindadromeus to Mononykus, or from Elasmarians to BALAUR-frikin-BONDOC.

Side note, many rigs I mentioned would work super well for fictional animals like those from Primeval or the World of Kong as well.

And last but not least, MasterDoot just released their incredible Titanis on the Utahraptor rig, now lets put a frikin Elephant Bird or Dromornis on the Gigantoraptor rig!!!
