We get more rigs to play with, thats cool I guess.... But I'm really not excited for species packs anymore. They should release some fricking new gameplay elements.
They'll even bring kelp... which we already have. *snooze*
damn it's almost like they're listening to what species fans want in the game
Also most of these I would NOT say the mods are better looking than official. I get that some people dont like the official Micro but the mod we definitely has a lower quality model than this.
I think its ridiculous and childish to complain that Frontier is introducing things that the community wants from the game that they made. Especially when there are people in the playerbase who can only play on console.
But also tbf, whoever worked on Thanatosdrakon seems to have enjoyed themselves, and some effort has gone into not making this ugly pug gremlins skins look ass.
While their DLC doesn't provide bang for its buck and modders have been propping up the DLC justification by using these rigs for amazing creations...Not gonna blame a company for following market trends and listening to what the people want (to some degree), especially as it provides content and benefits for people who cant afford a solid gaming PC like some of us on the website :/
We had a tunneling system by kai, then months later frontier added one. We ask them to add more decorations for months over months, then are able to add them ourselves in droves, then they'll add a couple of them themselves, but only a handful.
All they do is add a tiny, teensy bit with each update. Why not make a decoration pack with let's say 20-30 new decorations? People would flip out. I don't think that would take much more time then modeling 4 new species with all the new animations and sounds etc.
Or come up with some cool new way to interact with the guests in the park or do some more managing.
I think JWE2 has been a huge disappointment compared to JWE1 when it comes to dlc and overall management of the game. It took them almost two years to iron out some of the bugs that were in the game from the start.
Of course you're welcome to disagree, this is just my opinion.
Also, even if the concole player market is small, they also deserve some cool additions. They are still a part of the player base just like everyone here on nexus.
EDIT: Most of these species where being requested by the community at large already. Segisaurus and Microceratus where heavely requested by fans of the JP/JW canon. Megalodon has been wanted in the game since launch. And the want for another larger pterosaur where still pretty significant. Also, concidering mods aren't officialy supported, i don't see why frontier should have to keep them in mind at all.
Because all this is unofficial, it makes Frontiers job seem even more poor.
