About this mod
Fasolasuchus agaso was a gigantic member of the Loricata faimly, with a lineage lasting to the end of the cretaceous. It is a large, quadrupedal carnivore that resembles something could only be found in Hollywood, but apparently that is not the case . It has a long, narrow snout with sharp teeth, a powerful tail, and armored plates along its back.

Discovered in 2023, Fasolasuchus agosa was a remarkable find that challenged the existing knowledge of reptile evolution. It was part of an ancient lineage of loricatans, a group of crocodile-like reptiles that dominated the land before the rise of dinosaurs. Loricatans were thought to have gone extinct by the end of the Triassic Period, about 200 million years ago . However, Fasolasuchus agosa proved that some loricatans survived into the Cretaceous Period, which ended 66 million years ago. The discovery of a loricatan in the Cretaceous baffled scientists and even sparked debates about the possible causes and consequences of this evolutionary anomaly. The skeleton of the animal was found in an ancient mud flat that had geothermal geysers spread across the region. These geysers may have provided a source of heat and moisture for the animal, as well as a refuge from predators. The species name “agosa” was derived from one paleontologist’s reverence towards Adam Driver, as “agosa” is Latin for driver. The paleontologist, who was a fan of Driver’s movies, especially Star Wars, named the species after him as a tribute to his acting skills and charisma.
