This mod adds the Paradeinonychus as a new species to the game.

The Paradeinonychus originally appeared in the Chaos Effect toyline in 1998, and despite the toy-line generally being poorly received (and inevitably cancelled), it still has its fans.  The designs of its hybrids where VERY brightly colored (one of its biggest criticisms) and have extremely stylized anatomy/proportions, which made this a fun challenge to redesign it to be a little more grounded in reality while still keeping a touch of those original characteristics.  This is the first mod I've ever made for either JWE game, so if you run into any issues or have any feedback, please leave a comment!

Changelog:
  • 1.0 - initial release
  • 1.1 - Paradeinonychus can now properly cohabitate with Deinonychus - both dinos have now been properly set to like each other, socialize, and form packs together.  Removed Paradeino liking Parasaurolophus (I originally added it as a little easter egg, but Paradeino would just hunt them anyway lol)
  • 1.2 - research now works in sandbox (untested outside of sandbox).  Requires Deinonychus and Parasaurolophus genomes at 100% and 3.5 star park rating to unlock if research is enabled.  Completing the research will instantly unlock the complete hybrid genome.

REQUIREMENTS:
  • THIS MOD REQUIRES CAMP CRETACEOUS DLC (it uses Scorpios Rex as a base)
  • ACSE

Installation:
navigate to where ever you have JWE2 installed and extract the mod folder in Jurassic World Evolution 2\Win64\ovldata\

Uninstallation: delete the AHRT01Paradeinonychus folder

Known Issues:
  • do not look at it in Species Viewer, then try to load/start a save and try to release it - it likely won't work.  If you do this, restart the game before loading into a save. Install the Species Viewer Fix mod to fix this issue.

  • has the usual new species problem where animations with fighting, hunting, etc don't visually work properly
  • if you have a 1.2 version of the file that is crashing, please either redownload the mod (v1.2.1) or simply edit the file version # out of the mod folder's name! the files themselves should work, i just had a brainfart with the mod folder name when packaging up the files to upload to nexus lol
