Changelogs
Version 2.0.0
The survival shelter now requires a Survival Shelter Kit in order to be built.
Kits can be bought from various vendors that stock survival supplies throughout the world.
Kits can also be crafted from Medical Workbenches and even found in the wild!
Survival Shelters now have a total of 3 tiers, see description page for more info.
The new shelter tiers can be unlocked for building via the newly added research for them. Requires tech level 2/3 respectively.
Rebalanced research costs and time to be cheaper/quicker for tier 1 of the shelter.
As someone who likes to go on exploration adventures in the harsh and unforgiving world of Kenshi, I found myself in need of a temporary base without having to set something up each time that also creates a town in the process.
Adds new research items under the Core category called Survival Shelter which allow you to place them down from the Build -> Camping menu.
Features include:
4 sleeping spots that can be upgraded all the way to 8.
A general storage chest which can also be upgraded.
Last tier allows for the creation of a portable base!
Protection from hazards such as acid rain.
Lighting that auto-lights-up at night!
No pesky town marker left behind!
Cheap renewable placement!
