About this mod

- Adds x2 insect creatures (Mantis & Beetle) to Kenshi (both are approximately bonedog strength and size).
- Recruitable dialogue available for Nymphs & Juveniles (babies) in nests.
- Adults spawn as solitary hunters, found in various locations
- Also Sold by Nomad animal traders (they sell 1 or 2)

ATTENTION: Important Information, Please Read:
- Animals age over time, being at the baby stage the stats will appear to be zero. There's no way to change this currently, its just a normal Kenshi mechanic. Its working correctly/nothing is broken.
"due to the penalties from being a baby, its stats will seem as if they are zero. Over time the animal will age and the penalty will lessen, and eventually become a bonus."
- Ive also had limitless complaints also over animals not gaining hunger by feeding on corpses (this is also a Kenshi mechanic i have no control over, theres no nutrition value applied to bodies. So it cant feed animals. Yes they eat corpses, but theres no way to make it replenish hunger in Kenshi as of now)
- Feeding Animals - Throw raw meat on the ground, the animal will eat it if its hungry, also put meat in your backpack and your animal will automatically eat from the pack.

- I have only uploaded this mod to Nexus & do not wish this mod to be part of any overhauls etc.
- I do not consent to the uploading, sharing, or redistribution of this mod.


Details:
- Adds x2 insect creatures to Kenshi (both are approximately bonedog strength and size).
- Recruitable dialogue available for Nymphs & Juveniles (babies) in nests.
- Adults mostly spawn as solitary hunters, found in various locations (listed below)
- Also Sold by Nomad animal traders (they sell 1 or 2) 
- X6 Mantis color variations (pictured Green one & Brown is the most common, others spawn rarely in the wild) Brown, Green, Yellow, Purple, Blue & Pale.
- X2 Carrion insect color variations (Base colour & Albino, might add more.)

- Mantises can consume raw meat & foul raw meat & drop x2 claws, x3 meat & x3 Foul Meat.
- Carrion Insects can consume raw meat & foul raw meat & drop x8 claws, x4 meat & x4 Foul Meat.

Backpacks:
(All New Backpacks are sold in adventure shops. same spawn rate as garru & bull backpacks)
Mantis Pack - 8x8 square backpack can be equipped
Carrion Insect Packs - 20x20 square & smaller 6x6 square backpacks can be purchased & equipped (smaller one has much lower penalties)

Game Start:
- Both gamestarts are just copies of the default "guy w/ a dog" start with the mod animals.
- "Guy with a mantis" - colors spawn w/ same frequency as spawn relative chance.
- "Guy with a Carrion Insect" (Equal color chance 2 colours available)

Mantis & Nest Spawn Locations:
- Nymphs are recuitable if put in a cage/prisoner pole, no other requirements. Keep in mind, nymphs are very weak, high level characters/animals can easily one shot them. As many as 22 babies can spawn in a nest.

- Only Juveniles are recuitable if put in a cage/prisoner pole, no other requirements. Keep in mind, babies are very weak, high level characters/animals can easily one shot them. As many as 5-7 babies can spawn in a nest.

Great Recommended Mod For Animals:
Less Foliage Collision (By Shidan)
- Prevents large animals from getting stuck on anything (Mantises and Carrion Insects should mostly be fine, larger stuff like boneyard wolves usually have problems though. I havent used the vanilla game without this mod for a while so havent tested for certain if they do get stuck)

Notes:

- Insects have the "eating any bodies" ai goal. Set them to follow to keep them form chasing corpses.
- Carrion insects are Antlion & Hellgrammite based mostly.
