Hey, do you have a guide or know about a video to learn how to do this? I'd like to do it with a lot of stuff for myself but have no idea where to start!
Any ideas how to add secondary clipping mesh for example coat + samurai cloth pants + drifter boots returns clipping but short drifter boots are shorter than samurai cloth pants needs
Any idea on how to add more clothing to this? I have made copies of clothing that already was patched to add more color options in clothing, but now its not working on the copies. Any idea on how to fix?
This is a great mod. I don't know if your still working on it, but if you are, you'd literally be my hero if you could fix the clipping with the assassin rags and ninja pants. The assassin rags start to clip pretty bad when you gain bulk. The ninja pants are okay, until you start moving that is lol. Just a suggestion, I realize you might not have time or not want to and that's okay.
Hi, I had to make a break from modding because I have moved and had to leave my PC back. All I have is a laptop for now and I am not modding on it. Might be a while before I get back to modding, sorry and thank you for your feedback.
I'm trying to fix clipping issues between replacement limbs and pants by editing the replacement limbs mesh (only scout legs for now), managed to reduce the bulk of the part that cause clipping by using the sculpting tools in blender just fine however every time I try to export the mesh it ends up invisible in-game. Thought you might know what I'm doing wrong.
Here's what I did:
Install Kenshi OGRE import/export plugin for blender Import left scout leg mesh (data/character/meshes/human/Robotic Athletic Leg_L) Sculpt the mesh Export the mesh as "Robotic Athletic Leg_L" to overwrite the vanilla one
Apology if I missed something obvious but I'm very new to blender, tried to look for guides but no luck yet.
Hi sorry for taking so long to reply, haven't checked on my mods in a while. First of all I wouldn't overwrite the vanilla file, but make a mod in FCS and put the files into the mod. Think of your mod folder as data folder and create a file structure that corresponds with the one in game. Than the game will read your file instead of the vanilla one. Example: Mods/Your Mod/character/meshes/human/Robotic Athletic Leg_L.
I haven't messed with prosthetics, but when editing armor I had to make sure that my meshes were rigged and weighted before exporting them. Rigging is easy, but weighting can be hard and can take a long time, at least for me since I am really new to blender. The best way is to import them into blender in such a way, so that they keep their weights otherwise you will have to weight them manually.
Third You might have to mess a little bit in FCS to make sure that the game is reading the right files. Even if you don’t have to do that, you still have to create an empty mod through FCS, so that you can put your files in it, and then check it when running the game.
Here are the guides that I used: https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1287177013 (How you can rigg, weight, and export meshes. Weighting method used in the guide is prone to make a lot of mistakes, which I had to fix manually, so it is better to have a weighted mesh. Kenshi plugin links in the guide were old when I used it, try the latest ones found here: https://www.lofigames.com/phpBB3/viewtopic.php?f=11&t=10732 ) Also make sure you have the latest version of blender 2.79, or some meshes will not import properly

I read quite a few forum threads before trying this, but have reinstalled my windows recently so I don’t have the links. I think I found most of them in kenshi/game discussion on steam, in the mods section. Just use search words like meshes, imporiting, weighting, modding armor and so on.
Hi it doesn't, all it does is to fix issues between coats and pants and boots and pants. The problem is that the game allows only one set of alternative meshes per piece of equipment. So if someone were to make meshes that fix problems between holy breastplates and pants they would clip with coats. Meshes made for coats are slimmed down to such a degree under those coats, that they would be really ugly and clip in other ways if used with anything else but coats.
