About this mod
This mod equips the knights Sir Robard and Sir Bernard with appropriate armor.
- Permissions and credits
This mod equips Sirs Robard and Bernard with armor more appropriate for the respected and accomplished knights that they are. It always annoyed me that even mid-level bandits would often have superior equipment than them which seemed to make no sense. This mod helps with my immersion and I hope it will help with yours too!
Known issues and fixes *PLEASE READ*:
- The cinematic cutscenes will obviously still show them in their vanilla armor. Unfortunately, there is likely no way to change that. Most other cutscenes that don't change character outfits will show them in the modded armor.
- After completing "The Prey" quest, the cutscene that starts "The Hunt Begins" quest will revert pieces of Bernard's outfit to vanilla. I have not been able to find a way to prevent this from happening. The fix to this is to load up a previous save where you see him in the modded armor (I usually choose the autosave where he starts teaching you archery because you are looking right at him) and then immediately load back to the autosave when starting the "The Hunt Begins" quest after the cutscene. This appears to "remind" the save data what he is supposed to be wearing.
- I typically didn't experience any issues when having this mod activated while playing a preexisting playthrough but when I did they were just annoying bugs with Bernard and Robard wearing partially changed outfits which can look weird so you may want to have this mod turned off if you play a pre-mod playthrough to avoid those bugs. If you experience those bugs on an unmodded playthrough you should stop immediately and turn off the mod if you want to continue it, otherwise those buggy changes can become permanent in that playthrough after so many saves and loads. Avoid saving while looking at or in the proximity of a bugged Robard or Bernard as that may encourage their bugged outfit to become permanent in your playthrough data according to my experience in testing. Generally, simply turning off the mod should easily fix any bugs on pre-mod playthroughs without any lingering issues.
