The aim of Rogue Life is to make stealing less overpowered, to balance character progression and have a more stable economy. It aims to maintain and enhance the roleplay of being a rogue, by adding a few more perks to the Stealth, Alchemy, Speech, Drinking and Bow trees, whilst adjusting a few vanilla perks related to leading a "Rogue Life", for increased difficulty and immersion. If you wanted stealing to be more of a challenge but enjoy playing a stealth character then there is probably a module here that will be of interest.
It comes in multiple sections to be user customisable.

Rogue Life primarily adds to and adjusts the perk system. It has been built around the excellent Perkaholic mod. Although not specifically needed it is recommended to have this mod installed.
Designed to all be used together, the modules in Rogue Life have been made to work alongside and enhance my other mods
Medieval Poisons
Playable Daggers
for a rounded stealth based character playthrough.

Eight new perks have been added to the Stealth skill tree. You get ten points in total in this tree, so choices will have to be made.

A unique perk that most of Rogue Life is built around. There are REQUIREMENTS for full functionality. Also see INSTALLATION below.

Changed the effect to reflect the text. The effect was set to 50% more stealth, in vanilla, when crouched and still. Now it's actually 30% as suggested by the vanilla text. Also removed the pop up from being activated.

Four new perks have been added to the alchemy tree focused on poisons.

A powerful perk. Turns all merchants into fences but you will have to monitor your alcohol intake if you don't want to be short changed for non stolen items.
The poison "Opium" is useful here if you have Medieval Poisons installed.

A quality of life perk for mid to late game to negate the need to be constantly changing armour.

With the possibility of a few perks being added that boost the chance of poison being applied to an enemy (Bow +20% from Perkaholic, Swords +5% from Playable Daggers, and a total of 15% from the new Alchemy perks) having Rusty Edge give a whopping 50% in vanilla seems way too high. I have reduced this by half to 25%.

The vanilla perk doesn't actually do what it's text suggests and is very overpowered. This module still makes it a worthwhile perk but strongly reduces it's range.
The lockpicking perk Luck of the Drunk renders pretty much all locks useless from as early as lockpicking level 6, and therefore even makes lockpicks, or multiples of them meaningless. I swear after getting the vanilla Luck of the Drunk perk I used two lockpicks for the whole playthrough! This makes stealing an incredibly easy option very early in the game to make a lot of money and get all the best gear, leading to character overpowerment and negatively impacting immersion. In this mod the perk has been nerfed to offering only a 10% increased chance of breaking a lock. (This percentage can be changed. Instructions in included ReadMe.)
Let's say the lock is level 15 (very hard lock), the highest level, you will now need a lockpicking skill score of somewhere around 12, rather than 6. This is because the coding of the perk in vanilla is not accurately described by the ingame text. The perk should increase the player's chance of a successful lockpick by 30% (that personally I find too strong anyway). However what actually happens is the perk divides the lock level by 3 and uses that number as the skill level required. A level 15 very hard lock becomes a 5 which is a 66% bonus! This mod makes, for instance, a 15 skill requirement lock (very hard lock) somewhere around 12, if you're drunk.
The noise detection part of the perk has been untouched.
The poison "Dwale" is very useful here if you have Medieval Poisons installed.

Changes the padfoot potion from giving a +5 bonus for stealth related skills to +2. This creates better balance with the perks added by Rogue Life.

Makes sneaking around a bit more intense. Don't get spotted!

Unzip Rogue Life. Place the individual module folders you want into your Mods Folder.
Please look at the README in the download BEFORE installing to set up a keybind toggle function and check compatability for the "Dark Adaptation" perk (in the TyburnStealthPerks module) if you plan on installing it.

Safe to un-install any of the modules mid save but if you spend perk points on a perk that you then remove you may need to use "Lethean Water" to redistribute perk points properly.

Using unique naming conventions the new perks shouldn't conflict with any other mods (See ReadMe for "Dark Adaptation" perk). If you have any mods that alter the vanilla entries I have ammended however then there could be conflicts (Perkaholic doesn't conflict). Generally the last loaded entry will be read by the game. Further details in the ReadMe included in the download.

All modules can be customised for personal preference. Full details included in the ReadMe in the download.
