About this mod
Reduces all 4-step combos to 3-step, reduces some 3-step combos to 2-step (not all due to combo change limitations), makes combo steps simple and connect naturally. Multiple versions available depending on player's progression/preference.

I made this for my own playthrough alongside self modified versions of difficulty increase mods like Harder Combat, Damage Tweak, Hardcore Henry, Weapon Balance Overhaul, etc. plus no attack direction UI, so that I could taste the thrill of combat without missing out on a major part of the combat system.
Enemy will gain access to more lenient combos as well, so it could partially increase enemy difficulty especially with mods mentioned above.
Known combo change limitations:
1. The last step of the modified combo must be the same as the original combo.
2. The last two steps of the modified combo must be naturally consecutive directions.
Naturally consecutive direction: when player makes a swing, the game automatically changes the next swing's direction even without player input.
For example with sword: Left to Right, Right to Left, Up to Left, Down to Right.
Thus this limits how many 2-step combos can actually work simultaneously, for swords it will be four 2-step combos maximum, left and right combo finishes each can have two possible combinations.
How this mod changes combo steps:
1. Reduces all 4-step combos to 3-step.
2. Reduces some 3-step combos of a weapon type to 2-step, ensuring whichever direction the player starts hitting they could always finish a combo naturally within 2 steps, no need for additional direction input just spam attack button.
3. Pick specific 3-step scombos to change depending on player's progression and which combo trainers are available to them at the time, late game or head hitting combos take priority over early game combos when there aren't enough 2-step combinations for all.
4. When possible modifies previous combos to make them still useable at 3-step without overlapping with 2-step combos. (not well tested)
5. Modifies param "ComboMinSteps" from default value 3 to 2, might help with making 2-step combos more consistent but I am not entirely sure.
Different versions of this mod changes the following combos to 2-step:
(The arrows inside "()" indicates which direction the combo starts and finishes at.)
> Lite
Only reduces all 4-step combos to 3-step, they also remain the same for other versions.

An additional submod that disables enemy's ability to perfect block, master strike, dodge is included for combo testing.
I recommend Menhard Teaches Both Combos for learning Fiore Halbschwerten while siding with Menhart.
