Tired of the same old depressing "Game Over" screen? Let's be honest — it doesn't really capture the essence of your medieval misfortunes.
This mod replaces the boring "Game Over" text with the much more historically significant and spiritually accurate phrase:
"Pizzle Yanked"
Because when you take a sword to the chest or get jumped by three drunk peasants behind the tavern, it ain't just your health bar that's gone — it's your dignity too.
This is a completely cosmetic, lore-breaking, and deeply unnecessary mod. Which makes it perfect.
Features
Note: This mod currently only affects English localization. I don’t know what “Pizzle Yanked” should look like in other languages — if you have suggestions (or regional slang just as dumb), send them my way and I’ll add them!

- Compatible with all causes of death, including heroic fails and peasant brawls
- Localization file override (English only for now — help me translate “Pizzle Yanked” into medieval French and we’ll talk)

Installation
Manual
- Download the file
- Navigate to your Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 game folder. Default location:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\KingdomComeDeliverance2\ - Open or create the
Modsfolder inside - Extract the zip into the
Modsfolder - It should now look like this:
KingdomComeDeliverance2/
└── Mods/
└── alt_death_text_pizzle_yanked/
├── Localization/
└── mod.manifest - Launch the game and die gloriously to test the new text
Uninstall with Vortex Mod Manager (VMM)
- Open Vortex and go to the MODS tab
- Right-click the mod and choose Remove or Delete
- Optional: Delete the archive if prompted
Manual uninstall
- Go to your
..\KingdomComeDeliverance2\Modsdirectory - Delete the folder:
alt_death_text_pizzle_yanked
Known Issues and Limitations
- Only works in English for now
- Will not stop you from dying (sorry)
- Does not restore your pizzle
