Mod Description:
Choose Your Challenge: This mod offers two distinct gameplay variants for Kingdom Come: Deliverance II, allowing you to tailor the difficulty to your preference in key gameplay areas: NPC Interactions, Crime and Punishment, and Reputation Management.
Variant 1: A Quarter Easier - For a More Forgiving Experience
This variant makes the game approximately 25% easier. NPCs become less reactive, crime penalties are reduced, and reputation management becomes more lenient. This is ideal for players who find the base game too challenging in these areas or prefer a more forgiving and accessible experience.
Variant 2: A Quarter Harder - For a More Demanding Experience
This variant makes the game approximately 25% harder. NPCs and animals become more reactive, crime penalties are increased, and reputation management becomes more challenging. This is designed for players seeking a significantly more demanding and realistic gameplay experience, where caution and strategic decision-making are paramount.

Variants:
- 1. Reputation Rebalance - A Quarter Easier
- NPC Angriness Reduction: NPCs are less easily angered or nervous.
- Reduced Crime Penalties: Fines, jail time, and crime expiration are reduced.
- Simplified Reputation Management: Negative reputation impacts are softened, positive gains are boosted.
- Overall Effect: A more forgiving and accessible gameplay experience.
- 2. Reputation Rebalance - A Quarter Harder
- Increased NPC Angriness: NPCs and animals become angry more easily.
- Increased Crime Penalties: Fines, jail time, and crime importance are increased.
- Challenging Reputation Management: Reputation is harder to gain and easier to lose.
- Overall Effect: A more demanding and realistic gameplay experience.
Key Features (Both Variants):
- Global 25% Adjustment: All relevant values for angriness, crime, and reputation are adjusted by 25% (reduced for "Easier", increased for "Harder").
- Maintains Game Balance: Only modifies specific XML values, leaving core game mechanics untouched.
- No Zero Value Changes: Preserves the game's original design by not modifying values set to zero.
- Consistent Decimal Precision: Maintains original decimal precision for file integrity.
- Reasoned Changes: Modifications are carefully considered and applied based on the function of each value.
Installation:
- Download the "KCDII Reputation Rebalance - A Quarter Easier (KCDIIRRQE.zip)" OR "KCDII Reputation Rebalance - A Quarter Harder (KCDIIRRQH.zip)" archive, depending on your chosen variant.
- Extract the downloaded archive to your desktop or another easily accessible location.
- Navigate to your Kingdom Come: Deliverance II game directory.
- Copy the extracted "KCDIIRRQE" OR "KCDIIRRQH" mod folder (depending on the variant you downloaded) to the "Mods" folder within your game directory. Create the "Mods" folder if it doesn't exist.
- Launch Kingdom Come: Deliverance II and enjoy your chosen gameplay experience!
Uninstallation:
To revert to the original game settings, it is highly recommended to restore from a backup save created before installing this mod.
At this time, simply deleting the mod files may not fully remove the mod's effects from existing saves. Restoring from a backup save ensures a complete and clean uninstallation.
