About this mod
The goal is to have the most complete lore friendly and immersive realistic modded game!
23 mods working well all together
- Permissions and credits
- Changelogs
A real all in one compilation mod is coming if I have all authors agreement
- Install all mod by reading install instruction, download required files if needed, and read compatibility notes between some mods and/or optional files to download (it will be reminded and explained a bit in the mod list below).
Some mods are not listed here because they are not realistic enough, cause crashes or bugs, don't fit the lore/story, are too similar to others, or are incompatible.
I'm amazed at the number of cheat mods downloaded for a game meant to be a realistic 'survival' experience... especially considering that the game just realeased and becomes very easy after 20 hours due to new perks, skills, etc, people don't even try the game as devs make it.
I don’t use graphics mods for now because I want to keep the vanilla feel. I prefer to experience what the developers worked so hard for us to enjoy before changing things based on random players’ preferences (like Reshade, no bloom, no fog, better draw distance mods, etc.). Developers spend years on their work; they understand how and why they designed things far better than most modders do
- Install the user.cfg from guide here after having installed all mods and overwrite (if you play with other mods not in this guide, you can open this file and add your lines!)
- KCD2 on steam library -> right click -> property > below in start option add the line "+exec user.cfg" without quotes
- Endorse mods you liked!
HUD/Visual
"dot reticle" off in game menu settings of course
Hide Reputation Notifications only file "Hide - Crime reported"
Thinner Health and Stamina HUD file "50 percent Opacity version - No Shield Riposte" easier to fight for me, no more distractions, and I fight more with feeling
Scout Hardcore Mode files
*"ScoutHardcoreMode_NoPlayerMapIcons" you memorize maps faster, get lost and create unexpected scenarios and discoveries, you analyse landscape better
*"ScoutHardcoreMode_NoAttackDirectionArrows" easier to fight for me, no more distractions, and I fight more with feeling
*"ScoutHardcoreMode_NoCompass" you memorize maps faster, get lost and create unexpected scenarios and discoveries, you analyse landscape better
Half Transparency Buff Icons file "Half Transparency Buff Icons - Type1"
Map Marker Resize you see better where the markers are
No Bunny Wabbit you must hear enemies and observe them

Enhanced Particles And Blood I use 900sec version vanilla blood over main mod file (load order blood is after)
Immersive factions properties
Corpses Remain Longer (PTF) (15min_30min_150m)
Equippable Lamp
( Scruff Beard Henry )
Silver Lys Gear
Mods I don't use for my first playtrough to better learn and know how the game works before touching balanced and deep long gameplay things: are marked with a "*" and not tested all together:
* Weighed Groschen
* Slower Leveling or Skill Cap Increased + Stat Cap Increased
* Better Polearm Distribution - PTF
* Better Combat or Realistic Plate Knight Combat
* Tougher Economy
* Road Encounters maybe
* Aggressive Combat AI
With my RTX 3070ti, 16 gb ram, w10, I7 7700, and all game settings set on very high + dlss quality (33% sharpness) + 2K game window resolution in fullscreen -> 60 fps (rarely down to 50 fps in heavy place).
50h playing, 0 crash, some very small vanilla glitches.
