Tired of tracing your eyes along the shaft of the arrows and bolts in order to aim? Good news! The reticle is actually functional now!
It's a simple console command: wh_w_aimbyprojectile=X
X=1: default, you aim using the shaft of the arrow/bolt; X=0: alternate, you aim with the reticle/centre of the screen.
Be aware that the projectiles were originally intended to rise above the reticle, so by using this command, the line of sight becomes obstructed by Henry's hand/crossbow.
3 versions available: user.cfg, mod with persistent reticle and mod without. Mod versions are downloadable using Vortex.
Highly recommended:
I recommend using this together with Arrow Less Drop Down - PTF by zsadik52 or Rebalanced Arrow Flight (PTF) by bulhaneul as the projectile drop in this game is abysmal.
Get Simple Reticle by MoccasinBill so you can actually see a bit more of what you're aiming at.
Mod showcase:
In order for the command to work, your game needs to run in developer mode. You will not lose achievements.
How to enable developer mode:
1. Steam: go to Library > right-click your game > Properties... > General > Launch Options > add "-devmode" without " ".
2. GOG/yarr: create a shortcut to the game anywhere > right-click > Properties > Target > add a space and "-devmode" without " ". It should look like:
DO NOT START THE GAME WITH VORTEX AS IT WON'T RUN IN DEVMODE.
NOTE: You don't really need to download anything. Simply add the command and value "=0" to your user.cfg file and you're done. If you don't have the file, simply create one. But if you still want to download, check the instructions below.
Installation:
Go to your game's folder. Default is "C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\KingdomComeDeliverance2\"
Extract user.cfg.
Uninstallation:
