About This mod simply modifies param value to create a more immersive carry capacity system.
Nerf Base Carrying Capacity: Modifies the rpg_param_key="BaseInventoryCapacity"
Vanilla: 90 lb (kcd2 1.2 increased it from 70 lb)
Modded: 60 lb
Asked GPT about the realistic carrying capacity of an average medieval male peasant in his 20s "For sustained carrying (like wearing armor, carrying weapons, or hauling loads over long distances), 40–60 lb (18–27 kg) would be more realistic."
Nerf Carrying Capacity per Strength: Modifies the rpg_param_key="StrengthToInventoryCapacity"
Vanilla: +8 lb per Strength
50% Option: +4 lb per Strength
25% Option: +2 lb per Strength
Additionally, the description of the Well-Built perk has been edited to match the new carry capacity values.
Vanilla: ~30 lb to ~200 lb bonus (varies by saddle)
Modded: ~30 lb to ~70 lb bonus (varies by saddle)
Note: The actual saddle bonus capacity depends on the horse's base weight (100 lb by default, but it may vary). The values in the descriptions are approximations, meant to help compare saddles more easily.
Nerf Speed from Armor Load: This is more for flavor/immersion, does not affect carrying cap. It modifies the 'armor_load_to_speed' in rpg_movement_type.pak.
Vanilla: Armor load has almost no effect on speed.
Modded: Adjusted to be more noticeable, wearing full plate will slow you down more than light gear.
