About this mod
The Finale... a mod that replaces all music within Kingdom Hearts 3 with music from all over the Sonic the Hedgehog series!

This was a long time in the making for me in terms of, well, actually starting the project, but as well as learning and psyching myself up to replace the scoring, which I won't lie, was one of the things that made me almost not want to do this project at all. However, I can now say I'm happy I did, because even though I may be the only one who wants to use this mod for ALL music including cutscene music, I still am proud a lot of them ended up working better than I thought they would. Theoretically I could've tried a little bit harder on scoring, as it's not something I'm entirely used to, but I did give it an earnest shot with the source material given. Which, is espeically challenging considering the v e r y wide range of genres Sonic music can cover in terms of cutscene music.
Overall, I'm very glad I got this done, as it literally ate up any free time I had away from work for an entire month straight. Including double checking literally every looping song, learning that looped songs WON'T LOOP IN CUTSCENES, re-doing the dancing minigame in Kingdom of Corona twice, finding out I somehow missed 10 loops the first go around, and then ultimately making a very throwaway decision last minute of changing the gummi phone ringtone in every instance which wasn't a whole lot but it wasn't just 1 sound effect... so yeah, I'm glad I'm at a point where this should be fully done now!
Ok, I lied on one thing, only 1 song in this entire mod was not modded over, and it's one I always leave out if it comes up, the track being "Beyond the Door", as quite frankly I can't find a spot-on replacement that I'm happy with using. (That and it's one of my favorite Yoko tracks)
Lastly, to anyone who has been giving my Sonic Music Mods a go, thank you, I hope you've enjoyed them! I certainly have, as I wanted a bit of a change up considering I've played this series front to back more than 7 times in full at this point, and it's nice to combine it with another series I fell back in love with thanks to its music.
I want to give a h u g e shoutout to the OpenKH Discord for their patience and timely help! This was BY FAR the hardest I've gone and probably will go until KH4's eventual PC release in 2029 probably, and if I do happen to continue doing something like this, it will likely be just for the 3 movies in the 1.5, 2.5, and 2.8 packs. (But probably not unless a music-less version of all 3 pop up first) I also for sure want to shout out Sonicshadowsilver2 for even getting me set on this path on learning how to replace music for the classics (and honestly making it very easy due to pre-made .scd files, without those I may not even be posting this as I'd be super burnt out making the old ones lol), I also want shout out CountJoelcula on their work for the Persona 5 ost mod, that was a huge inspiration for this as well considering how hard they went on that, and lastly, I want to shout out SvenCakemann for their Frozen Slider OST replacement mod, as that was the legitimate kickstart to me thinking "Oh Sonic music would be super dope for KH" literally to the point of straight up using the original choice they used for that mod.
And of course, a huge shoutout to all of you who enjoy this, I hope it brings you as much joy as it did for me!
Please note before potentially asking:
* I will not be making adjustments on request unless I really think it would work (though I'm probably gonna be pretty firm on that), I've already spent over a year picking the perfect choices for myself, as well as really going hard on double checking literally all of it.
* Just because I made a mod for this, does not mean you can't! I know a couple of other people have been making similar mods of this same idea! Go for it!!! If you do, Godspeed on your patience.
* If you have any questions please hit up the OpenKH discord and find their resources! They're alway willing to help and have a lot of things documented!
