Critical Mix - Plus - is A full overhaul with a fast KH2-Meets-DMC style combat system that has been significantly updated and enhanced from the original PCSX2 Critical Mix.

New Combo System
- New faster combo attacks & many new abilities for Sora.
- Unlock the ability to chain multiple finishers together.
- Using attack magic in the air will suspend you in the air as you repeatedly cast.
- Scan is always enabled, and Sora begins the game with Guard, Dodge Roll, and Aerial Recovery.
Animation Cancelling
- Dodge, Guard, and Jump can cancel all actions, allowing for much faster combat.
New Damage Formula
- New uncapped damage system! Getting more Strength / MP now ALWAYS increases your damage.
- Damage scaling per MP is not as extreme, but can now be enhanced with Elemental & Magic Boost abilities.
- Attacks and Limits now have specific Power Multipliers, making finishers much more rewarding.
- Innate Combo Boost mechanic increases the power of attacks AND Magic as your combo gets longer.
- All attacks can now become Critical, instead of only certain ones like before.
- Damage floor is now appropriate for Level 1. Strength from equipment has a very noticeable effect on level 1 damage.
Critical and Master difficulties (details at bottom).
- EXP Zero is available on all difficulties. Damage Storage no longer exists, the new formula applies instead.
- The Accelerate ability can be used to speed up the entire game by 20%.
- Sora has a new set of Level Up bonuses containing many brand new abilities.
Unlockable Combat Styles
- Each style has a unique Style Action, and two Passive Effect options.
- You can instantly switch styles at any time, including mid-combo.

Style Rank Meter
- Combo with style while avoiding damage to increase your rank, boosting the power of your Combat Styles!
- Players at the pinnacle of combat can choose to enable Sora Must Style for an added challenge.
Launch Mechanic
- Launch enemies into the air using new abilities like Sky Climber and Warp!
New Movement Options + Aerial Roll / Guard / Item
- Use Kinetic Step to stay aggressive against aerial enemies and gain generous invincibility frames.
- Jumps also refresh when you clank an object/wall, allowing for pseudo-flowmotion platforming.
- You can also now use all your defensive options in the air.
Chain Attack Reaction Command
- This Reaction Command ability links combos together with Triangle
Counterattack System
- Critical Counter lets you retaliate after guarding or deflecting.
- Lets you pierce through shielded enemies, by countering after you bounce off them.
Spirit Link
- Fill the Spirit gauge by attacking, then Link with allies to gain a burst of power!
Keyblade Abilities
For example: Pumpkinhead grants Combo Spirit, which extends ground combo length by 1 and increases Spirit gain.
It also grants a Combo Boost effect, making long combos even more powerful!
Every Accessory
- Given new stats & effects
New Progression Mechanics
- Synthesis Levels, Accessory Slots, and more can be earned by making progress through the story.
Second Shortcut Menu
- Press L2 for permanent access to Cure, Aero, and Stop.
- Target Switching is now performed with the right analog stick.
Manual Limit Attacks
- Now triggered by pressing triangle after specific combo hits.

Command Menu
New Synthesis, Accessory Duplication
- The synthesis shop now offers new items, and a much faster grind.
- Synthesize the Dream Sword to unlock Lufenian Synthesis: The art of Replication!
- This can be used to gain multiple copies of the strongest boss accessories.
Revamped Treasure Chests & Rewards
- All gummi treasures have been replaced with valuable accessories and synthesis items.
- Many rewards have been moved, and new ones added.
Power-boosting Collectibles
- Collecting each Magic Arts from White Mushrooms for the first time now boosts your Magic!
- With careful exploration you may find some of the arts in Treasure Chests as well.
Phoenix Downs
- Equip a Phoenix Down to an item slot to gain an extra revive.
Item Auto-Reload
- Automatically restock your equipped items when combat ends.
- Instant Gummi Warp
- Improved Camera
- Save Anywhere
- Access most worlds immediately

Atlantica combat rework (Partially Complete)
- Use Flying movement and attacks instead of Swimming in Atlantica. You can also guard (but dodge roll does not work).
- Ursula 1 and Ursula 2 currently use the original combat because of a cutscene crash when trying to load the new model into those fights.

If you are mixing this with other mods, check those lua files for anything like "gameSpeed". If your other mods affect the game speed, many of this mod's features will stop working.
Download: Required Files
- Go to the 'Files' tab at the top of this webpage. Download 'CriticalMixScripts.rar' and 'CriticalMixkh1pcpatch.rar'
- Extract 'CriticalMix.kh1pcpatch' to the same folder as your KHPCPatchManager.exe
Modding Your Game
- Extract 'CriticalMix.kh1pcpatch' into the same folder as KHPCPatchManager.exe from the Kh1 PC Patch Manager you downloaded earlier.
- MAKE SURE your resources folder contains .txt files, described in Step 2 of KH PC Patch Manager's install instructions.

- Drag 'CriticalMix.kh1pcpatch' onto KHPCPatchManager.exe.
If a command window opens:
- Find the "Epic Games" folder on your computer, and the "KH_1.5_2.5' folder inside of it.
- In the KH_1.5_2.5 folder, open up the "Image" folder
- Inside the "Image" folder is a folder named "en". Drag and drop this "en" folder onto the black command window that was opened by KHPCPatchManager.exe, then hit enter.
It should start patching the game, and after a while say "Done!". If it doesn't start, or seems to get stuck, try hitting enter one more time.
Activating The Mod
Now that the required files have been patched in, you can activate the mod using Lua Backend - Download Lua Backend here: https://github.com/Sirius902/LuaBackend/releases/tag/v1.7.3-hook
- Download ``DBGHELP.zip`` from the Releases tab.
- Extract the contents of ``DBGHELP.zip`` to the directory Kingdom Hearts 1.5+2.5 is installed which is named `KH_1.5_2.5`. (Usually in "Program Files/Epic Games")
After this, open up your Documents folder on your computer.
- Open up "CriticalMixScripts.rar" you downloaded earlier, and extract all the files inside it into the folder named `scripts/kh1` in the `KINGDOM HEARTS HD 1.5+2.5 ReMIX` folder in your Documents folder.
The installation is now finished. LuaBackend will be automatically started with the game and can be easily uninstalled
by removing the ``DBGHELP.dll``. To verify it is installed correctly, you can open the LuaBackend console using
the F2 key on the keyboard in game.
If you ever need to reload your scripts, simply press F1.
The mod also works with LuaFrontend, but will have some issues like animations in the air.
Installation Successful!!
- You must use the default confirmation control button X, not O.
- You can use L1 + L2 + R1 + R2 + Select to soft reset.
- Only Has English Language
