About this image

THIS IS VERY STUPID!!! Companies tend to not like it when you "steal" their paid content! This will make Netease very angry! This will definitely get modding banned! "but... but i wanted it!!" is a stupid excuse. Be like the rest of us plebs and cope in silence or just complain to people who dont care! Edit: media literacy is dead. “But they’re not paid” I pretty clearly used “paid” as an umbrella term to describe ingame skins.

Is it safe use other custom made mods though? A recolour of Spiderman for example or an outfit change?

This is what i want to know, but i guess you should always expect a random ban...
people are saying the anti-cheat can flag your account for any modifications made in the game files, but i also havent seen anyone complaining on a forum yet, so idk.

The Anti-Cheat system flags accounts but will not ban them just for modifying game files at the moment. Since we're only in Season 0, this policy may change in the future, potentially resulting in a complete ban on skin modding if it threatens their skin sales.

As mentioned above, they could either ban all flagged accounts in the near future or issue warnings.

Use any mods at your own risk.

I understand why some are going womp womp, because it is a rather large company, however that's irrelevant.

The point is to avoid using mods that directly bypass systems that the company COULD have an issue with.

The reason is pretty simple, they might start banning players, they might ban a lot of mods, maybe all mods.

Want to take the risk? Sure, go for it, if you think that some skin is worth potentially ending modding for yourself AND for everyone else.

This is as simply as I can personally lay this information out. I don't know how to make this any simpler.

Yes, if the risk didn't exist, I would be downloading these mods as well. I do not hold back when it comes to mods,
unless it might directly result in me being unable to PLAY said game. It's usually not worth it, and there's usually alternative solutions...

They're unlikely to start banning players because of these mods, but there is definitely a line that once crossed could make the company decide to do something about the mods for this game... i'd rather the possibility stayed at 1% instead of 2%. No need to double that chance.

Always remember that Multiversus banned ALL modding back in the day and forced the GameBanana page for the game to be archived permanently.

    So basically:
Don't EVER use mods that unlock official stuff for free. ONLY use mods with custom designs made by other modders?

    Sounds simple enough.

So do I run a risk of getting banned using these skins?

Yeah no, generally a bad idea to mod over base skins since that's like a one way ticket to get banned. But what is the moderation like with mods over paid skins? I assume it's way to early to say but I honestly wanna make a custom spider-man skin over any of the paid versions. I just wanna know the likely hood of getting sent to hell over it lol.

As long as the skin is client side and dosent affect gameplay im 99% sure nothing bad will happen.

I hate how people get over exclusive skins, they automatically just because it's an exclusive that we can't get it in the future. And if we don't, oh well. It's not that big of a deal. Just don't ruin the fun for other people all because you wanted a recolor of the base skin.

Good way to speedrun a C&D but some people need to learn the hard way. And because of this it's the reason why we can't have nice things.

Does this mean the game is banning people who download mods? Even skins?

any content that is not freely accessible at the moment should not be modded over base skins, that includes rewards, exclusives or paid content, its a general rule. companies tend to overlook custom mods, that's why vanguard doesn't ban custom skins in LoL and no one makes exclusive content mods for base skins. anyone who's telling OP to cry or womp,  is kinda dumb.
