    just so everyone knows, the reason why they added asset hash checking is because 1) they've always heavily advised against modding the game and it's against TOS. and 2) because it's a free game that relies on cosmetics and such to make their money. you can call it "company greed" or whatever, but they can't keep the game alive if they don't make a profit off of it. ppl modding better skins than what they put out or modding skins before they can add it themselves takes that profit from them. for example, all the different spiderman man mods that were made, they likely already planned on releasing them in the near future, but the mods being made and available beforehand takes away from them. there's already a work around but i honestly wouldn't suggest it unless you have an ult account you don't mind losing. it's super unfortunate and the mods were fun while they lasted. back to modding cyberpunk and rdr2

    There was literally no reason for them to do this. No one modded paid costumes in the game and Netease is not adding an iota of any of the custume mods created. They simply did not want their own users to have fun

      this "Family friendly game" just added a costume of a woman in a g-string, ass out, and cleavage practically exposed. dont even peddle that bs line about "Family friendly" again

      its probably because you could apparently edit the wall models to make them transperant among other things. Hopefully someone is able to figure it out and unofficially make it possible like league of legends.

      Lets be real, i originally wanted to buy dr. strange skin, but when i heard you can mod the game, and saw how quickly are mods getting created, i just decided to wait and just use some mod skin, instead of buying one. This ban is only because of greed. If someone finds workaround, they´l patch that too.

      "Because of greed" the game has way better monetization then most if not all other live service games available. On top of that they're rolling out BIG content pretty consistently and that costs money. People avoiding purchasing of a costume because "They can just get it through a mod" keeps the game from making money, if the game doesn't make ANY money then it can't exist.

      I don't understand why people don't understand that concept, it's not because of "greed" it's to keep the game funded. If the game isn't funded that means no new characters, no new maps, no updates. If you don't want to spend money go ahead but modding it anyway will get you banned

      That skin litteraly is from comics, comics are sold to kids. Comic version is even more explicit, but you also can't compare their skin with a mods of squirrel girl stickings nuts up her a$$

      the game comes from a billion dollar corporation that is not putting half of these custom mod costumes in there to begin with so this idea of "youre doing it before they do" is bs cause they were never going to do it in the first place plus idc about potential lose revenue from effing disney of all entities

    It was not banned, they just added hashes making it harder for mods to be used. They don't work right now until someone finds a work-around the hashes.

      pray to god someone makes a bypass this type of moves do nothing but harm I was vastly considering picking up a skin but with this move I don't feel like they deserve the money anymore

      On a real note the work around will happen i know of it... when no idea.... hopefully within a week.

      im not a modder at all but i know Texas Chainsaw blocked all mods and the modders figured out a bypass mod. But then again TCM's anticheat is nonexistent so I would be more worried modding again on this game.

    Welp this and shadow nerfs in the first season update has made it hard for me to care about this game anymore tbh. It was so unique and fun now I just don't care to see the next update if it's anymore of the same.
