• I loved the original mod from the other legend GuitarthVader back in Marvel's Spider-Man Remastered, and i thought to continue it's idea. This mod isn't just an animation replacer, it's my work result of HUNDREDS of hours put together. Every single replacement in this mod has been throughly tested to make sure things run as smoothly as possible. With that said, not every animation will have a 100% perfect transition, because perfection doesn't exist. But i still aimed for it and got to a solid 99% (which is good enough for me).
• To be able to make this mod, i had to make a Catalogue of ALL of Peter's AND Miles swinging animations. Yes, it was as painful as it sounds... It's not a lie when i tell you that i saw every animation related to swinging in this game one by one, and because of that i decided to create this mod for personal use (but it would be a shame to keep this only to myself so i decided to share with everyone).

• I know, i know... I said that v1.4.2 was the last update, but after i finished the Raimi Inspired Swinging and came back to this one i didn't like a lot of things. I had some great ideas but they were poorly executed. A lot of weird transitions, some animations that skipped frames and not being overall 'Smooth' as i said it would be. So, i got carried away over night trying to fix it and ended up doing a Complete Rework of the mod. Don't worry i didn't remove any animation only rearranged them and added some new stuff.
You might ask:
- How can this be a complete rework if i didn't remove anything?
I said i didn't remove any animations, but i did remove a lot of transitions.
- What's the difference?
You'll see.
- What's new in 2.0?
I made a LOT of changes over HUNDREDS of tests, so asking me what's the changelog is like asking how many raindrops fell in a storm. I don't know. BUT i do know that the final result is *WAY* better than the original. The following are only some of the changes i remember:
- Removed and fixed tons of transitions;
- Web Climb now triggers on the left side rather than the right side;
- Added a new inspired Loop de Loop animation;
- Improved the 'Side Spin - Original Air Idle';
- Rearranged dozens of animations;
- Integrated the Movie Accuracy optional file into the Main file;
And a lot more that i'm forgetting. All of these changes finally bring the mod to the place it should've been at launch. However don't take my word for it... See for yourself!
Note: I will keep the version 1.4.2 of the mod in the Old Files category for those of you that might still want some of the old ideas, though keep in mind that i will NOT update or provide support for this version.

• "TASM 2 Inspired Swinging - EXPRESSIVE ANIMATIONS" is MODULAR, which means I've split the features into different files so that you can choose to have everything or only some of them. This makes it easier to be compatible with other animation mods that might release in the future.
Without further ado, let's get started!
• MODULE 1 - Web Jumps & Web Releases
As Guitarth beautifully explained in his page:
Let's first differentiate the two:
- Jump tricks are the animations that play when you press the jump button during swinging;
- Web releases are the animations that play when you simply let go of the swinging button without pressing anything else.
Using these techniques in tandem can create a wonderful variety of animations for peter when you use this module!
The result is something that makes Peter look more expressive (hence the name) in how he exits his movements. This also means that there is now greater variety between the jump tricks and web releases as opposed to its vanilla counterparts which were all similar in motion. With how this is made, you will be getting different kinds of animations playing when you jump or release from a swing on different height levels.


NOTE: Only a few animations are seen in these GIFS.
The choice of animations between jump tricks and web releases are heavily inspired by Andrew's swinging style in The Amazing Spider-Man 2. As such, they breath speed, style and acrobatics while not being overkill.

• MODULE 2 - Swing Kicks
Swing Kick: When Spider-Man is in the middle of a swing and usually does a fancy move.
When creating the swing kicks i tried to build a strong motion of his movements mid swinging, based on how Andrew moves on screen, but not exagerating on his twists and spins. The result is something AMAZING if i do say so myself!!

• MODULE 3 - Swing Intros
Swing Intro: When Spider-Man begins a swing by shooting web.
Peter's animations originally were really still and lackluster in the first game, not improving much in this sequence. With that in mind, i needed to capture Andrew's flashy style to make this module, not only to get the feeling of fast and stylish, but also to make it better overall. In that perspective, i focused on developing a singular style of spins and twists that you see and immediately think: "This is definitely TASM!".


• Update 1.2:
Added a "Realistic" option alongside the original. What's the difference?
- Original: Initial design of the mod. Same as realistic but with the original 2 swing intro animations when in fastfall or dive. Looks flashy and cool, but has worse transition sometimes. Choose this if you want a more acrobatic feel.
- Realistic: Uses 2 different swing intro animations when in fastfall or dive. Has better transition "smooth", but can become repetitive. Choose this if you want a more grounded look.
Update 2.0: "Realistic" has been integrated as the main version.

• MODULE 4 - Air Idles (New Mechanic)
Air Idle: When Spider-Man is in air and not moving.
When you are in between a swing animation and the fastfall state, there's a weird 2 to 3 seconds delay when Spider-Man just sits still before starting the animation to fall or to swing. With that said, if there's a word that defines Andrew's movement it would be "Smooth", because he's always transitioning when he swings. To recreate that i added an animation that plays when you enter that state, but i didn't add it every time possible. Because of that, you won't feel overwhelmed by spins and twists when it doesn't make sense.
How to Trigger:
- ZIP to Point (HandSpring);
- After some Web Jumps and Releases automatically;
- After some Wall Jumps and Leap of Buildings automatically;
- After some Web Zips automatically.


• Update 1.4:
- Added a new Web Tunnel animation;
- Added a new iconic 'Look at Camera' Air Idle that is also triggered by the Web Tunnel;

Note: You can trigger the new Air Idle after some Web Jumps and Releases automatically.
• Update 1.4.2:
- Added the original Air Idle from the Remastered mod, 'Side Spin' animation as the main Air Idle in the Module.
You can now choose this new 'Side Spin - Original Air Idle' or keep the 'Backflips - Initial Design' if you prefer them.

• MODULE 5 - Miscellaneous Animations
Miscellaneous Animations: They fall in this category for not being in any other category above!
Animations related to traversal, included but no limited to:
- Web Zip;
- Wall Run Jumps;
- Wall Sling-Up Jump;
- Wall Vault;
- Handspring (ZIP to Point);
- Leap of Building;
- Slingshot;



• Update 1.3:
- Changed one Wall Jump to the one that resembles the first clip;
Added a Miscellaneous file that reverts the Wall-Jump animation to the frontflip (user request). Keep in mind that i WILL NOT be updating this version.
How to use: Disable Miscellaneous Animations Module in the main mod and place this file below it.
- Added a new Slingshot animation based on the second clip.

• MODULE 6 - Movie Accuracy (optional file)
Movie Accuracy: Animations that are in the movie or are inspired by it that i replicated in game.
This module could've been integrated in the Miscellaneous above, but not everyone might like these animations and would prefer to keep things simple, so i've decided to create another category.
Corner Swing:
- Added a new "Corner Swing" animation inspired by Andrew's style (requested by user).

Forward Charged-Jump & Forward Sprint Jump:
- Added two new jump animations that replace the Forward Charged-Jump and Forward Sprint Jump to resemble the one seen below:



Note: They do NOT interfere with the Leap of Building animation and they integrate perfectly with the Air Idles.

Web Climb:
- Added a new Web Climb animation in the Module.
How to Trigger: While in Dive or Fastfall start a swing next to a building at your
Update 2.0: Next to a building at your left side.


Traversal Abilities:
- Replaced the forward and upward air boost that you can perform with two movie inspired motions.

Note: They integrate perfectly with the Air Idles.

Loop de Loop:
- Added a new inspired Loop de Loop animation in the Module, even though we never saw Andrew perform it i got creative based on the movie clip.

• Did you copy somebody's work?
- ABSOLUTELY NOT!!! Everything you see here is my OWN work entirely. Besides, files between this game and the previous ones aren't compatible.
• Can you change This or That?
- Maybe, depends if i like your change or not. I have other projects and real life things to do, but i did make a mod called "Expressive Miscellaneous Stationery Animations - EMSA" that you can use to customize some of the Miscellaneous Animations, so check that out.
• Will you update the mod?
- When i have a decent amount of changes to make or a bug to fix.
• Are there any bugs in this mod?
- As i said above, this mod has been throughly tested by me and i haven't encountered any bugs so far, but if you do encounter one please let me know! I recently started to create mods and mistakes can happen.
• How did you even Catalogued every swinging animation??! Can you share it?!
- Using the good old: one by one test. I've already shared it with the community along with some files that you can use to test it. All you have to do is join the Insomniac-Verse Modding Discord server and access the tab called "Traversal Animation Database", everything will be there.
• I hate your mod, it sucks!
- Ouch... Well i guess i can't make everyone happy, so feel free to join the discord server and create your own mod!
