Mod Request - PS4 Buttons

I play with an xbox controller on the pc, but I've always been more used to the playstation buttons, I would really like someone to replace the xbox prompts for the playstation ones, in the settings, in the cutscenes, etc.

      yes, as i said, i use an xbox controller and that is why the game buttons are xbox ones, but i play several other games that use playstation buttons mod, i would love to use something like this in this game too

      you like playing with an Xbox controller but the game is supposed to show a PlayStation controller input isn't that just confusing at times? you do you ig.

      i use xbox controller for the convenience of connecting to windows, but my whole life i've always had playstation, so that's why i'm totally used to its buttons

      In the meantime, while you you guys wait, what you should do is grab ReWASD, then use it to make your Xinput (xbox controller) spoof a Ps4 controller. A little annoying since you'll need to leave it active in the background or fire it up each time you launch the game but at least it will work and you'll be able to use this trick for other games that have built-in support for ps4 controllers but dont have PS Icon buttons mods for it/games where these kinds of mods will probably NEVER be made for them, Like Indivisible, CarX Street, Red Dead Redemption 2, etc

    Just gonna throw this out there. I figured out how to make it show DS controls. Within latest version of DS4Windows create a profile just for Spider-man. On this new profile you'll set the Touchpad to passthru mode, on the Other tab change the Emulated Controller from Xbox Controller to Dualshock 4, hit save on the profile. Start up your game & it should now show Playstation button prompts. Just so it only affects this game, I set an auto profile to the Spider-man.exe  (I looked into this because I actually do use a DS4 controller & I wanted to see the appropriate buttons shown)

    Kinda bummed this mod doesn't exist. I really wish all games these days let you choose your preferred prompts in the options. The ones that do are a godsend.

    I play using a PS3 controller, but the game shows XBOX controls.
    So yeah, just commenting to boost the post. A mod like this would be quite helpful

    If you want playstation button prompts, just emulate a dualshock with DS4Windows

      I tried something like this, but it didn't work very well here

    If someone had made this mod it would save me from spending two hours fruitlessly researching how to change icons tonight.
