No unfortunately, this issue fixed itself 2 weeks ago, but after a recent patch it made a return. Ive verified my game multiple times and it didnt do the trick.
Hallo there, this is the way I managed to fix this loading freezing texture issue. It is for Steam users though.
After going through all the files located in Steam DB. I finally found the proper one belonging to that version many of us wanted (the one before the last 2 updates). Had to hunt it down to get the right App ID, Depot ID and Manifest ID.
With the Steam Console open, input the following command:
download_depot 1817070 1817072 217031676535920774
Once downloaded it will show the right path to find the files. So just replace the ones in the game file (you know, just browse them with steam).
It did work for me, hope it does for you, mates. Cheers.
PS: To enable the Steam Console, start the Run program (Win + R) and type the following: steam://open/console
Replace with the ones downloaded through the Steam DB, after the download is complete, it will show the path fo find them. So you just copy them to your game folder and replace them.
The path is showed right after everything was downloaded (in the console box, that is), they usually are downloaded in the steam file located in your program files. There should be a file under the name steam and well, in my case, the files were downloaded in the file named steamapps and then file named content.
what exactly does this do? it kinda fixed some areas but then building textures in the distance wouldnt load. i am playing at 1440p with a 8gb card tho. is that the issue?
It unfortunately didn't work for me. Did I do something wrong? I did all the steps you did. Opened steam console, entered the command, cut the files and pasted them into Spider-Man Remastered location and the buildings are still low textured. Any other fixes?
This problem extremely ruined my experience from the game. I can't play on high settings because when flying on the web, the map just won't load and the game will pause for a few seconds to load the textures. I still can't figure out what could be the problem.
Im having the same issue and it’s really effecting gameplay, I can’t go 10 minutes without my game freezing cause I got to close to a unloaded building, I’ve looked everywhere but this is only place I can find with the problem I’m having. So anyone got any ideas
