About this mod
Smooth Complexion for the base Asari head, includes two versions. The textures of this mod also apply to the Asari Ryder mod, if Base Asari Tweak is placed below Asari Ryder. To change the skin colour/tattoos for the base Asari, place any of the head variations from Genamine’s Asari Ryder mod below Base Asari Tweak.

Due to the fact that the base Asari faces in Andromeda aren't exactly... well, as pretty as they certainly could've been. I decided to create this mod with obvious nods to Ellise's beautiful "Tweaks" for many characters within the game, but as a more generalised version to update the base Asari texture, so even the more minor Asari NPCs can be more reminiscent of the beautiful, blue aliens that we all know and adore from the Original Trilogy.
In terms of what textures of the Asari head have been "tweaked", every texture has been edited that's including: the Diffuse, Normal, SSS, and Mask. They're not perfect, as I am not exactly the most experienced at modding as a whole (legit the first mod I've made lmao); however, considering the pain in the backside it is to edit these textures due to needing to make sure the textures don't distort or discolour on the 3D Model, I think they're at least a lot better than what was used originally. Hope you like them!
Installation:
- Simply, download my Base Asari Tweak file and extract the mod file into the MassEffectAndromeda directory within your Frosty Mod Manager.
- Load up FMM, find Base Asari Tweak and double-click it to add it to your mod profile.
- [Optional] To change the skin colour/tattoos for the base Asari, place any of the head variations from Genamine’s Asari Ryder mod below Base Asari Tweak. (Bare in mind that any skin colour change will not change the skin colour of Asari Ryder's body and there may still be a neck seam visible due to difference in skin colours, as stated by Genamine in their mod description of Asari Ryder)
If you have Genamine's Asari Ryder mod installed, place Base Asari Tweak below that mod in the column and it will apply the textures to your Asari Ryder too.
If you have Ellise's Asari Tweak mod installed, make sure Base Asari Tweak is above Ellise's mod to ensure Ellise's textures for some of the more prominent Asari NPCs override my mod for those specific characters.
If you are choosing to use my Asari Sara Retexture version of Base Asari Tweak, please know that this doesn't make it compatible with Padme4000's Asari Sara mod - it is only a retexture of the base Asari head using the Diffuse of my Asari Sara Retextures mod.
P.S. I've attached the project files and textures for this mod under the optional files in case anyone wanted to make any additional edits, but I would recommend against it as changing the diffuse's skin colour or adding tattoos to this texture won't give the desired look when in game... trust me I've tried.
Credit to Padme4000, Genamine, and Ellise for either/both inspiring this mod or providing advice when I've nagged lmao
