About this mod

Applies the N7 logo and arm stripe to all of Shepard's armors, instead of just the Onyx.

Changelogs
Want to spice up Shepard's wardrobe without making them look identical to every generic NPC in the game? Look no further!

This mod now requires DropTheSquid's amazing Appearance Modification Menu. This means it should be compatible out of the box with pretty much everything and shouldn't require any patches. Yay!

This mod adds an alternate appearance for all human armors to have an N7 insignia when Shepard wears them. This includes all standard armors, as well as the unobtainable armors available through console commands.

Additionally, several armors have the option to make the N7 black or to replace it with a Spectre insignia.

COMPATIBILITY
  • LEDs ON LE1 by SerjRozov: Install UN7 first, then install LEDs ON LE1, then install the MEM file in UN7's Optional Files.

INSTALLATION

UNINSTALLATION
  • Delete the mod via ME3Tweaks Mod Manager or by deleting the DLC_MOD_N7Stripe folder from your DLC folder. You may have to restore your Coalesced.bin file if you aren't also uninstalling AMM.

HELP I MESSED SOMETHING UP AND/OR AM HAVING PROBLEMS

"NexusMods/Windows Defender/[insert antivirus here] says it's a trojan!"
It's not. It's a Mass Effect mod. If I were to make a trojan I would not distribute it through a mod that is subject to virus scans, and I would target someone with a lot of money, rather than Mass Effect mod users.

"Can I use this with [insert mod here?]"
DLC mods: Almost certainly! I haven't tested with everything, but

Texture mods: Does the mod change any human armor textures other than the Onyx? If not, they should be compatible. If so, they will be at least somewhat incompatible, unless the other mod has modified their textures to work with the alt armor model. (Regardless, you should never install texture mods before DLC mods.)

INFO FOR OLD VERSIONS (2.5 and earlier)

This mod works by modifying nearly every human armor texture in the game to support the N7 armor model. For this reason, it may conflict with any mod that edits armor textures, or that modifies any of the armor packages (including casual outfits). Replacing textures without modifying them to use the N7 armor model will lead to some rather noticeable patches of solid color where there should be normal textures. I have provided templates for modifying armor textures to fit the N7 model (located under the Miscellaneous tab in Files). Modifying armor packages without basing them on mine will lead to missing materials and armor showing up either with incorrect textures, or completely black. Yes, this includes many casual outfit mods; no, I cannot fix this without compatibility patches. I have reached out to the authors of several casual armor mods, but I can't make patches without permission.

If you want to make a patch for UN7, go wild. You don't have to ask permission; however, I would appreciate if you would let me know (either via Nexus or Discord DMs) and link to my mod page from yours. If you're including files from other modders you will of course have to follow their patch rules.

COMPATIBILITY
  • Alliance Uniform Consistency by Mistyvail: Install AUC first and then use the AUC patch included in UN7.
  • New Casuals for Femshep LE1 by rngdshep: Install New Casuals for Femshep first and then use the patch included in UN7.
  • Leather Jacket for Femshep LE1 by rngdshep: Install Leather Jacket for Femshep first and then use the patch included in UN7.
  • LEDs ON LE1 by SerjRozov: Install UN7 first, then install LEDs ON LE1, then install the MEM file in UN7's Optional Files.
  • Opaque Visors by UtilityPawn: Install UN7 first and then use the patch included in Opaque Visors.
  • LE1 Console Armor Gap Fix by UtilityPawn: Install UN7 first and then use the patch included in Console Armor Gap Fix.

INSTALLATION OPTIONS
  • Default: The default installation option. All human armors have the N7 insignia.
  • Default (No Unobtainable Armor): All standard human armors have the N7 insignia. Unobtainable armors are vanilla.
  • Alt Textures - Spectre Logo: The Colossus and Spectre armors have a Spectre logo in place of the N7.
  • Alt Textures - Spectre Logo (No Unobtainable Armor): The Colossus armor has a Spectre logo in place of the N7. All unobtainable armors are vanilla.
  • Alt Textures - Hoplite No N7: The Hoplite armor does not have an N7. This is for people who put Liara in the Hoplite armor.
  • Alt Textures - Spectre Logo and Hoplite No N7: The Colossus and Spectre armors have a Spectre logo in place of the N7, and the Hoplite armor does not have an N7.

Additionally:
  • Options are available for Shepard's armor to always appear as light, medium, or heavy.
  • Casual outfit compatibility patches are sorted separately by male and female Shepard. It's a bit clunky but I could not get it to consistently work otherwise.
  • The LEDs ON LE1 patch does not have options and works out-of-the-box with all installations.

If you want to use my mod with one it conflicts with you are of course welcome to, but there is a very good chance at least some part of it will not work.
