About this mod

The purpose of Spectre Expansion Mod is to improve the under used mail terminals, to expand the galaxy map and improve immersion where possible.

Email Consistency

Mails in Mass Effect 2 differ in structure to those in Mass Effect 3 and its mods, so one of the core goals of this first Spectre Expansion Mod - LE2 release was to standardise them to match the sequel. Almost all emails have had their structure altered to be consistent with ME3.

Private Terminal Additions

Multiple new emails have been added to the private terminal. These range from news stories to personal correspondence, intelligence dossiers and additional consequences for choices made in Mass Effect 1 and 2.

Galaxy Map

The horizon of the Terminus Systems has been expanded! Explore two new star clusters with planets taken from Mass Effect: Galaxy, as well as spotting the vorcha homeworld, Luna, Mars' moons and a lot more beside.

In addition, the star system Iota Urania, the star Leyya and Susskind Station have all been restored after Bioware cut them.

Baria Frontiers

Items in the Baria Frontiers store now have unique artwork for each star chart. These are based on the vanilla star chart artwork, but with each altered to display the cluster they're for.

Why doesn't this mod have text adventures like the Mass Effect 3 mod?

Unfortunately, I haven't settled on a satisfactory way of adding them to this game. The current method in Mass Effect 3 can be replicated here in ME2, but the UI leaves a lot to be desired. It is too small to read expansive text adventures on, and as such I think it is better to wait until a time comes where I can handle them better.

What future content are you planning to add?

Spectre Expansion Mod is relatively new and its full list of features are not decided. I intend to take my time working out what is required to improve the story and immersive elements, so I don't want to say what might get added until I am ready.

I have an idea, I'd love for you to add it to the mod! Would you?
