At long last, the updated version of this mod is finally here! Thank you much for bringing to my attention any of the bugs or issues you had while playing, I tried my best to address each and every one I could, and I'm so glad to have an improved version out there for you all to enjoy!
With this new version, some characters' complexions had quite a few adjustments made to them! Here are some updated screenshots of Joker in each game and Sheploo in each game in case you are curious how they look now! And another one for Anderson's updated textures in LE2, no more weird seams yay!
I also wanted to take the time to breakdown and explain a rather complicated and prevalent issue I wasn't able to fully address with this mod update:
One of the big focuses of this update was to try and address some of the eyelash issues with Sheploo and Anderson. Sheploo (Default male Shepard) has always had pretty long lashes, which aren't always noticeable in vanilla because they were made semi-transparent and more subtle. Because this mod changes the eyelash textures to be more defined and opaque, Shepard's eyelashes became much more dramatic. With this update I was able to create more natural eyelashes for him in LE1 and LE3, but unfortunately, he uses different eyelashes textures in each game. In LE2, he uses the default female eyelash texture, which is shared among nearly all female characters. This is problematic because unless a mod comes out that alters Sheploo to use different lashes, I'd need to make every female character have shorter lashes to keep Shep's consistently short like in LE1 and LE3.
A similar issue exists with Anderson in LE1, he uses the default female eyelash texture which gives him uncharacteristically long lashes. I hope eventually there will be a mod that ports his head from LE3, like the Anderson & Hacket Consistency Mod but for LE1. Though there's no telling how long that might be from now without a compatibility framework for LE1. For now though, I tried to create an option for people who would want to keep Anderson and Sheploo's lashes from being too fabulous, while minimizing the impact this would have on the base female lash! In this version, I cut down the outer corner lashes significantly which removes it's 'wing-like' effect as can be seen on Ashley here. But makes the eyelashes of LE1 Anderson and LE2 Sheploo much less noticeable. I mean, some people might even prefer how it looks on female characters over the original, so I've made this available in the Miscellaneous files tab. Just remember to install those .mems after installing the other textures you want, to make sure they replace the original eyelashes!
Thank you once again for all your patience, kind words, and support! I truly hope you have a wonderful time playing through these games! 😊
Hi, inexperienced guy here, I want to leave Custom Shep's eyelashes untouched and modify just the eyes. Which texture files should I include in my custom .mem file? And will it affect other characters as well? Thanks.
Open your save with Trilogy Save Editor. Go to Headmorph, under Texture Parameters look for HED_Lash. Its value should have something like HED_PROLash blah blah. Keep that in mind.
Now download and extract the Primitives individual files. Go to Eyelashes and Masks and open the 'texture' folder. Look for a file whose name has the same HED_PROLash as above. Move that file out of its current directory (or simply delete it).
Open MassEffectModder and assemble your .mem file with the 'texture' folder.
You now have a .mem file that includes everything minus the changes to (one type of) eyelashes. The same steps can be appiled to Brows and Facial Hair too.
I'm using Project V headmorph with vanilla eyelashes and brows. Everything else is Primitive. Hair is Rapunzel style from Morning's Hairstyles. Here's the result:
Hi! This is the first time I've installed mods for the Mass Effect LE.The installation principle using the "ME3Tweaks Mod Manager" is clear, but you can specify the installation procedure for mods using the example of part 1.
1) Install - Community Patch 2) Install - A Lot Of Textures and ISL_LE1 3) Install - Liara Consistency Mod 4) Install - Primitives LE1 5) Install - A Lot Of Videos
Can you tell me, in this order, do I need to install the files ?
1. Install - Community Patch 2. Install - Liara Consistency Mod 3. Install - A Lot Of Videos 4. Install - A Lot Of Textures with ISL_LE1 5. Install - Primitives LE1
That's the order to install files - Content Mods always first to install after them install Textures Mods.
for me, it's perfect apart from eyes (my shep has light grey ones and they look like two lighthouses with primitives), so now i'm sitting here breaking my head over how tf do i install lashes and masks without the eyes. help...?
I've installed ALOT/ISL, now do I install the main Primitives .mem, and then the ALOT compatibility fix? Or the compatibility fix first, then the main Primitives .mem? Thanks!
How does the compatibility with LEUITM and LE1 Diversification work? Should I just choose which mems to use between the two? Thinking since Primitives is mostly human and asari, I can choose the ones from LEUITM that aren't human/asari so there are no conflicts
Yes it will conflict, but you can keep it from happening by: Installing this mod without the required Liara Consistency Mod. After Primitives is installed, install the mod with Liara's new texture markings.
Trying to install this after any other mod listed (required) and getting error: MassEffectModder exited with non-zero exit code: 1. This indicates something went wrong. Unlucky. Everything except this mod works well.
edit: Ok it worked, installed via ME Modder v533, before I was trying via batch so I got this error.
Is there a specific headmorph for the cover image you used for the mod or was that just custom tinkering around in the editor? ...Or is it a character I don't remember since I haven't played the trilogy in years lol.
