About this mod

The GiveSuperGun console command works differently (read: worse) in LE1 compared to LE2 and LE3. This mod makes it much closer to how it works in LE2 and LE3 for debugging or when you just want to one-shot everything.

GiveSuperGun is a debugging command built into the Mass Effect games that gives you a weapon powerful enough to one shot most enemies. This is very useful for breezing through combat for testing and debugging, but in LE1, it works very differently from LE2 and LE3, and in my opinion, it is worse. In LE2 and LE3, it changes the stats of your current gun to do absurd damage and gives you essentially unlimited ammo so you never need to reload. This does not affect the items in your save file and things will be back to normal after a reload. In LE1, it replaces your assault rifle with one that is very powerful, but also has messed up stats in other ways, such as the zoom and name being messed up, and it still overheats easily. Worse, it affects your save file, and you have that gun permanently from that point forward.

In contrast, the new version provided by this mod augments the stats of your currently equipped gun to drastically increase the damage and nearly eliminate heat generation, the analogue of unlimited ammo. It can also optionally increase fire rate and eliminate kickback. It will not affect save files, and the effect will be gone on a reload.

How to install it:
This mod must be installed with ME3Tweaks Mod Manager. It edits the base game files so you cannot install it manually.

How to uninstall it:
Restore SFXGame.pcc from a backup using the mod manager.

How to use it:
Draw a weapon and then run the console command "GiveSuperGun". If you also want the fire rate and stability increases, run "GiveSuperGun 1" or "GiveSuperGun true" instead.

Limitations:
This effect will apply to one gun at a time. Applying it to a different gun will remove it from the first one.
Using weapon powers (Marksman, Carnage, Overkill, Assassination) may end the effect, as this is essentially a modified weapon talent with increased stats and unlimited duration.
