This mod adds Romans to the game, using existing High Men graphics and sound. Romans are an early-to-mid-game civilization, with a limited late game.

Description
While the origins of the people of Novaroma are unknown, common myths place their origin as immigrants from another world, perhaps accidentally or starting as a single legion. However, some historians place them as native ancestors of the High Men culture, an idea that pleases the latter more than the former. Whatever the truth, the Novaromi have become known as cruel and ruthless conquerors, able administrators, and dedicated city-builders.
The people of Novaroma are strongly religious, with a well-developed magical tradition. They prefer a strong military, with a focus on diplomacy as an arm of their military objectives. Novaromi engineers are exceptionally well-trained, as they consider roads to be vital for control and for overland trade.
Growth rate: regular (base rate of 0 people/turn)
Building restrictions: cannot build Cathedrals, Fantastic Stables, or Maritime Guilds.
Other modifiers:
- +1 armour for units (except constructs and skirmish units).
- +1 movement for skirmish units (except constructs)
- Racial unit: Legionnaire
Installation
- Extract the zip file in your "ExternalAssets" folder in your Master of Make folder.
- Rename and backup "ExternalAssets/powerTraining.bin". Master of Magic will rebuild this file the next time you launch the game.
Uninstalling
Delete the following files in "ExternalAssets/Database":
- PB_ROMANS_GROUP.xml
- PB_ROMANS_LOCALIZATION_DES.xml
- PB_ROMANS_RACE.xml
- PB_ROMANS_SUBRACE.xml
- PB_ROMANS_TOWN_NAME.xml
