About this mod
This modification changes some environmental and extradiegetic tracks throughout the game to try to bring a different atmosphere to some levels or replace some of the less inspired original tracks.

All action sequences soundtracks except for the two detailed below are replaced by my slowed down and extended remix of WASTE by KXLLSWXTCH (instrumental only)
"TEARS" by HEALTH is now my own remix of WASTE by KXLLSWXTCH with Mona Sax and Michelle Payne's voices
The fight against Armando Becker and plane car chase soundtrack is replaced by Spectre by Radiohead
The mod now includes a backup of all modified files in the "BACKUP" folder (duh)

INSTALLATION GUIDE
Download and extract the mod with Winrar or 7zip
Download and install Open IV
Open Max Payne 3 with Open IV and enable "Edit mode"
Navigate to Max Payne 3\audio.rpf\sfx\ambient_streams and drop everything from the "ambient_streams" folder of the mod inside
Navigate to Max Payne 3\audio.rpf\sfx\interactive_music and drop everything from the "interactive_music" folder of the mod inside
DONE !
Final notes
Pausing the game or skipping some in-engine cinematics (the NYC bar cinematic, for example) will "desync" tracks in unwanted ways. There is no way of fixing that, as it's hard coded into the game.
You can replace only certain files if you only want to change specific tracks.
For example : only replace finale_song_02.awc if you want to modify the terminal scene and not the rest of the last mission's OST.
Be aware that all the tracks in the "interactive_music" folder are bundled by level due to the way the game works.
If you only want to change an individual sound file, you will need to install the mod the normal way, extract whatever .wav package you want to modify as an "openFormats" .oac package, and then import the modified version to the game's files.
I might do a YouTube tutorial in the future explaining how to do that in more details.
