Implemented a new system which allowed me to incorporate mod options for;
  • Smoke plume colors
  • Missile smoke decay
  • Missile smoke scale
  • Missile smoke color
  • change laser colors from small lasers to large chem lasers

Improved compatibility.
Destroyed fusion engine at the base of smoke plumes. (mesh made by DeadRaiser)

Enhanced Environmental Effects Update
We've significantly expanded the range of environmental effects, drawing inspiration from systems like WarFX. This update complements the recently introduced smoke plume mechanics, bringing your world to life with richer, more immersive visuals.
To ensure seamless performance across various setups, we've included extensive modding options. These allow you to fine-tune smoke plumes and other effects to match your system's capabilities, whether you're aiming for cinematic realism or optimized performance.

A large amount of polish was also done for this version as well for effects, logic and performance.

Volatile 2  v1.4;
mod options,
compatibility options are available for Scary tanks and Scary VTOLs. Use the mod options to toggle them on if you use them and also set those mods to override this one.. its okay. You will still get the V2 effects at the cost of a small amount of performance.

Gilga Smoke Plumes can be turned on, dialed down to a lesser level of detail (LOD), reduced spawn rate, decay time, and how often they will spawn upon actor death. plenty of options here to adjust the effects to your machine for optimal performance.

I added stuff from the OG Volatile to this mod from my back-up files and also made explosions go Kaboom again.. so watch where you step!

What's Niagara?
- Niagara is a special effects tool for making new particle systems for better quality and performance then the old Cascade effects.

-This mod should be compatible with most mods as it uses an unique method to apply the special effects.

note - this version uses Niagara effects and I have had no issues with them performance wise but it could be more taxing than the original.

has a lot of changes to explosions, impacts, and the critical explosion is inspired from Enhanced Critical. (can use this link and override the critical explosion from this mod if it's too performance heavy).

- Muzzle effects are separated by hooked and unhooked effects so effects follow or don't follow the barrel respectfully.
