How does increased treefall animation mod play with yours? They have a conflict. I'd like the smoother treefall animations, but if it means trees will hog up increased resources once again I'd rather not use it.
Hello Xenoargh, back in the day in 2021 there was a discussion (on this board) about the load order and YAML overriding parts of this mod. Did you ever get in touch with the Creator(s) about incorporating your changes, so that when YAML overrides yours it doesn't revert back to Vanilla hit boxes?
YAML Discord people are super adamant about leaving LO as is these days, so plenty of people run your Optimize on LO zero, where it will be overridden a lot. I've always chosen to run yours quite high to override everything (as my CPU is really very old), and I haven't run into trouble, per se, but I'm wondering if that isn't actually making things worse in other areas, or messing with the way other mods work. For instance - Mesh LOD Fix doesn't seem to work for me. It's at 0, and yours is overriding it. So maybe that's why it's not working?
Anyone else getting fatal errors when running this mod, everything seems to load faster when using it so would love to figure out the issue. Sometimes I get fatal errors soon as I load the game sometimes when I am closing the game sometimes when I am in the market sometimes during missions so it's not the same time doing the same thing it's completely random.
I have tried moving it up and down my load order no help I am only running a few mods trying to stay as close to vanilla as possible getting no conflicts.
If it's something nice and simple like a setting issue that would be awesome
What is exactly the issue with this mod and vonbiomes? Is it because it leaves vonbiomes' assets untouched thus making the impact on framerate only marginal on vonbiomes maps?
Running with a Titan-V video card, and 32 cores... This helps make 4K smooth as butter, with everything cranked-up.
Now if someone would just reduce camera-shake from cannons and explosions and quakes to be about half strength... My game would never choke-up. (Those camera shakes literally drop frames to 5 FPS, for no real reason. They could literally have just shook the screen, not the camera!)
I hope you used a script to locate and fix all these odd things. That would have been a nightmare to do manually!
I redownloaded MW5 just because of this mod alone since you updated it to the last version, thank you! I hope when 'clans' drop changing the engine of UE4 to 5 makes the game smoother, especially when enemies are spawning
can you do something about the default TAA in game? it makes everything worse especially particles effects. they are blurred, ghosting and almost small particle effects get lost. i use FXAA but since foliage and shadow map dithering is linked with TAA fxaa looks sh*T too but it doesn't mess up particles effects. is there a way to implement a better TAA solution that doesn't mess up particle effects? like some games do this correctly (remnant and remnant 2 ) also since you are an optimizer guy, can you figure out the stutters happening when Ryana speaks / units spawn in? it is annoying as hell i've reported it to dev manytimes but they don't care about polish the game they only care about churning out overpriced unoptimized dlc :(
While I could probably sort this issue out, it's really not in my wheelhouse, as I don't know where exactly the TAA is implemented, whether modders can alter the settings for it, and to what extent (if any) it's limited by shader computation issues, etc.
Moreover, there's probably a better way: build an optimized FX library for all of the commonly-used particle systems that are designed better for TAA. This is something I know can be done and it would almost certainly be possible. For ages I've used one of the early FX mods that looks better and is a little less demanding- Prime8s FX tweaks: https://www.nexusmods.com/mechwarrior5mercenaries/mods/194
Despite its age, it was working fine for me as of DLC4, so it's probably still fine!
nevermind i posted this before trying the art optimizer mod of yours, now with FXAA everything looks far less shimmering though mechs look more "matte" now. i guess the extreme aliasing and shimmering without TAA is related to mech shaders calculation.

Go to the YAML Discord and have people look over your load order.
I would like to create a vonbiomes friendly version of this mod.
