About this mod
A selection of savegames that have been edited to unlock all the technologies, so you can build that fishing village or start that sheep farm without the prerequisites that don't fit your medieval lifestyle.

This mod was built on a pre-Oxbow version of the game. As such, it is likely out of date and may no longer work (I do not know). However, I am leaving it up for people who might be interested in seeing how it was done to use as a resource for learning for making their own mods. Please don't ask for support with this mod, as I'm no longer able to maintain it. Thank you! ~Rains

Description:
I really like the game, but I didn't want to follow the chapters for a second playthrough. I wanted to just live a life and build a settlement and ignore the Chapter tutorial quests if they didn't really work for what I wanted. I had an idea of starting a sheep farm, or a fishing village, and didn't want to have to unlock chickens and geese or seamstress shops before getting to those buildings. Therefore, I've created edited save games with various seasonal timeframes that unlock all the buildings. That's all it does. It does not guarantee you have the skill or the building limit to actually create these constructions. This is not to ignore all the gameplay in pursuit of building. It's just to give you more options for what you build and how.
You still need to do the following:
- Get the money/resources to build these constructions
- Upgrade your skills to be able to craft/build specific items
- Purchase the recipes you wish to build
- Increase your dynastic reputation to increase your building limit
You do not need to do the following:
- Build chicken hutches when you really wanted to be a shepherd
- Be a hunter first when you wanted to be a fisherman
- Wait for years before being able to build a tavern
How This Was Done:
I started a new game, normal difficulty, fast crafting enabled, with no other mods/changes, and adjusted the respective days per season slider accordingly to get the various days/season versions. Then, I gathered sticks and stones to make a stone axe, cut down one tree for logs, and made a hoe and a hammer. Then I went down to the castellan to get permission to build. After this, I created a 1x1 farm plot, used the hoe to plough the land, then destroyed the farm plot. Then I returned to Gostovia and saved. This is where the save games will start -- in Gostovia, with a hammer, an axe, and a hoe, your existing food and gold inventory, and any bits and bobs that were added as part of the logging/gathering process (maybe a feather or two, a leftover stick, etc).
Why did I do this? The game only adds the Farming, Crafting, Building, and Survival lines to a save game when the player has improved them beyond the default 0.0 value. Therefore, I needed to perform these actions just enough to get them to appear in the save file for editing.
To edit the file, I went to http://www.saveeditonline.com/ and used their functionality to edit the values for Farming, Building, Crafting, and Survival (and nothing else). The new values match those required to unlock the highest tier building within the game per the current version technology menus:
Farming: 8000 points
Crafting: 10000 points
Building: 10000 points
Survival: 5000 points
The resulting save file is what is included in the download, as well as the label file that gets it to appear in your game.
Requests/Knowledge Sharing:
I'm not taking requests for different versions, however I can provide a little information for those interested in trying their own tweaks by searching the save game file with the Save Editor for these matches in your browser. This is the grand sum of all my knowledge. I can't answer questions, so don't expect replies to comments regarding this, as I just don't know. Blind leading the blind at this point...
KNOWLEDGE:
Coins:
I have no idea how to change coins/money, sorry.

E_P : Extraction Points
D_P: Diplomacy Points
H_P: Hunting Points

H_L: Hunting Level
S_L: Survival Level
C_L: Crafting Level
F_L: Farming Level
Technology Values:
Farming -> 10 gives you the basics, 500 is good for a small village, 8000 is required for a full unlock
Crafting -> 100 gives you the basics, 2500 is good for a small village, 10000 is required for a full unlock
Building -> 500 gives you the basics, 5000 is good for a small village, 10000 is required for a full unlock
Survival - 500 gives you the basics/a village, 5000 is required for a full unlock
Dynastic Reputation:
I think it's actually listed under Dynastic_Reputation? There's a number of these however that seem to also relate to questlines and NPCs, so I don't know which/where this is.
Weather Changes:
Currently the weather is set to change 1 time per day. I think this can be edited to different values, but have not tried.
Building Limits:
I don't know how to override this. The Building Limit Modifier is a setting from the customize menu (I left this as default), but it won't adjust how much you can build per chapter. If you work out how to get past this and just unlock building a city from the get go, let me know. I'd be interested in adding that to the files.
Install Instructions:
1. Download the savegame of your choice manually.
2. Place BOTH the XDayUnlock.sav and XDayUnlock_Label.sav files into your savegame folder by default this is located in C:\Users\YOURUSERNAMEHERE\AppData\Local\Medieval_Dynasty\Saved\SaveGames.
3. Start the game and load the save file.
4. Play.
Version Information:
These save games were created on Medieval Dynasty 1.0.0.6 Live Release on October 1st, 2021. Updates to the game may add different features and so it is foreseeable that in the future these savegames may stop working.
