Restores the original 2001 PS2 US Sons of Liberty's censored blood/gore and also restores several removed music tracks.

This mod is a full restoration of all the censorship changes, as well as soundtrack changes, made to MGS2 after the original 2001 PS2 Sons of Liberty release.
The original US release of Sons of Liberty had much bloodier textures, as well as more graphic particle effects, which were toned down to be less bloody / violent for the EU & Japanese localizations. ALL versions of Substance, the HD Collection, and the Master Collection have erroneously kept those EU censorship changes.
Likewise, multiple cutscenes had parts of their music tracks muted, presumably by error - which are also fully restored by this mod.

Knight_Killer - assistance in providing the original PS2 audio files, which also happened to restore the censored particle systems, and modifying them for full compatibility with the MC.

Afevis's MGS2 & MGS3 Bugfix Modpacks
For ease of setup for new players, I maintain modpacks with all the bugfix mods preconfigured for installation with a single click with Vortex Mod Manager. These packs are updated as soon as new fixes come out!

- Konami has stated (as recently as 01JULY2024) that they're still fixing issues with the Master Collection, so be sure to report bugs via their support page here so they get fixed officially too!
