You must install v1.0 or later of MGSHDFix
It includes an increased buffer size for textures allowing these larger files to be loaded.
You will crash without it.

Upscaled most textures by 4x their original size using 4x_foolhardy_Remacri upscaling model.
Quality not guaranteed or expected in most cases.
The scope of this mod is a simple 4x/2x upscale pass over the textures in the games.
Other customizations or modifications outside of what is present in the game should be handled in a separate mod.

Manual Installation
Drop the folder into your main MGS3 directory and replace on conflict.
It is recommended that if you are installing this you install it first and let other mods overwrite files if there are conflicts.
This now puts the textures files into \textures\flatlist\ovr_stm\_win which means you retain the original texture files.

"The splitter face-paint is blurry"
The original texture is low-resolution. Check out: MGS3MC Splitter Face Paint Fix
Process
- Extracted .png files from .ctxr using 316austin316's CTXR Converter
- Used chaiNNer to batch upscale all the extracted png's
- Reimported the upscaled .pngs to .ctxr using 316austin316's CTXR Converter
