I finally figured out how to edit some LUTs and I swapped out the Afghanistan colors for the Foxdie colors from the Ground Zeroes Deja Vu mission. How trippy.
It's a bit complicated, so I don't really know where to begin. Basically it's a matter of pulling the LUT texture files from GZ and replacing the TPP textures with them. Most (perhaps all?) of the GZ LUT's can be found in the game's data_01.g0s, (navigate to data_01\Assets\tpp\effect\gr_pic\lut). I'm not sure which LUTs are from which missions, though.
These tools might make it easier to unpack TPP and build a makebite file, or at least give you a better idea of the files you need to replace: https://www.nexusmods.com/metalgearsolidvtpp/mods/739
