About this mod

This mod makes unlocking functional equipment go hand in hand with unlocking cosmetic equipment.
Provided that you've already crafted the weapon that you want to apply as a layer, you can do so without any additional cost or fiddling around in another menu.

Since V4, this mod only unlocks a weapon's corresponding layered skin upon crafting the real deal. If you're interested in rampage-style layered weapons rather than the progression aspect, you'll need to check out my other mod

I've only tested this on a TU6 endgame save file. idk what the behavior is before you've unlocked layered weapons.

Overview
The goal of this mod is to ensure that unlocking functional equipment goes hand in hand with unlocking cosmetic equipment. As the name implies, it it meant as a complement to Layered Armor Progression by LoveAlice

How to sync prior unlocks to the layered equipment box?
With V4, this is not an automatic process anymore.
You can force a resync via the custom REMenu UI: Layered Weapon Progression -> Unlock owned weapons.

I've sold/upgraded an old weapon prior to installing this mod. Can I unlock the skin without reforging it?
Yes, there's also a REMenu button for this. If you want to "cheat" an unlock, this is also the place to be.
  • Go to the smithy and open the weapon crafting menu.
  • Navigate to the weapon whose look you wish to unlock.
  • With that weapon highlighted, open the REMenu UI.
  • Click Layered Weapon Progression -> Register currently highlighted weapon.
  • The weapon's skin should now be unlocked.

Credits
The roots of this mod (and overall framework in V1) was thanks to Ingame Weapon Layering. Full credit goes to Stracker for the figuring out the first version's functionality and GUI.
