My experience has been that the shortcut bar in game stays up for a while after using an item/performing an action/etc. This mod makes it so the shortcut bar disappears immediately when select an action. Note that this doesn't consider whether the action is valid. For example if you want to sharpen your weapon while swinging, you'll still need to hit the shortcut key again later when you're able to sharpen.
