This mod is a continuation of Impactful Skills by Andreste07 (with animation speed buffs). I used his edits as a basis, fixed a few text errors and adapted it to TU1.
Many thanks to Andreste07 for their hard work, please don't be sparing with kudos :).
The goal was and still is to power up some skills to make them all viable. Some skills seem more powerful than others; some even seem overpowered.
Well, it always depends on yoru playstyle, the weapons, your overall skill and your personal taste of course.
I tested it with Dual Blades main and sometimes Gunlance or Bow - I could boost my hunting time by 1-2 minutes, so in my opinion it is okay.
For me by example creating new builds is just as fun as hunting strong monsters.
Please be wary: This mod is still considered cheating. So use it at your own risk.
Attention!
If arch-tempered Rey Dau brings new skills, this mod will need an update again. Please give me some time since I need to edit it manually.
I will release it in two phases:
First I edit only the game values so the skill changes are functional and we won't get a black screen.
Second I edit the in-game skill texts later.
How to install:
- Download REFramework if you haven't already and install it
- Download Fluffy ModManager if you haven't already and install it
- Download this mod
- Start Fluffy Mod Manager and drag & drop this packed mod (Impactful Skills - reloaded.zip) into Fluffy and activate it
- Unpack it
- Copy the folder natives to \Steam\steamapps\common\MonsterHunterWild
How to test it:
- You could equip an elemental defense 1 jewel and see if your resistance increases by 12
- You could also equip the new rarity 8 Mizutsune weapon and go into water. Your affinity should show 27 % (15 % from the original + 12% from Level 3 and this mod)
