About this mod

A "Vanilla+" Difficulty Mod that can be enjoyed by new players, meant to feel like what the vanilla game should have been rather than a mod to challenge veterans. Monster health increased by 30%, wounds need 60% more damage to create, most monsters are now 15% faster while enraged, and damage has been increased by around 25% for most monsters.

A "Vanilla+" Difficulty Mod that can be enjoyed by new players. Meant to feel like what the vanilla game should have been, approximating the challenge of low rank and high rank in 4U/GU rather than making the entire game challenging even for veterans. Low rank will still feel easy, but not ridiculously so and on the other hand end-game tempered monsters will provide a higher challenge that demands you optimize your build and use your weapon the best you can to win.

30% more health on monsters. Part breaks are adjusted with the same increase as health to make them scale properly.

Wounds will now require 60% more damage to create. They will still be relatively common for low rank monsters, but will become significantly more rare on high rank and especially tempered monsters.

Attack increased by base 10%, with the vanilla monsters already having a 15-10% damage increase on enraged monsters. Tempered monsters have their enrage damage further increased to 20%. Gore and Arkveld only have 10% extra damage on Tempered to help prevent one-shots but 5/4 star power versions will still hurt you a lot. Using armor spheres is highly encouraged in the endgame unlike Vanilla where nothing deals enough damage to really make you want to use them.

Nearly all monsters universally gain a 15% speed buff when enraged where vanilla only increased it by 10%. Tempered monsters receive an extra 10% speed boost but some have their speed boost a bit above and below that. Quematrice, Yian Kut Ku, Gypceros, Nerscylla, and Rey Dau have an extra speed on their tempered. Rathalos (both types), Gore Magala and Arkveld are 5% slower instead to keep punish windows reasonable for all weapons.

Further feedback is needed on the speed of each monster on how they feel with each weapon. I wanted to emulate the feel of older Monster Hunter where enraged monsters were noticeably faster and more dangerous rather than simply having a few more followups to their attacks. Please comment with your experiences with your weapon so I can make further adjustments.

Monster enrages will now last double the time for each monster, and exhaust phase will last half the time typically. Tempered monsters will also take about 40% longer to get exhausted.

I would still greatly encourage disabling palico for experienced players as its still busted. If you wish to use Palico while maintaining some challenge I recommend using Ultros' Reasonable Palico Nerfs mod with this.

A version without the extra enrage/tempered speed up is available with name Difficulty Plus Lite.

Heavily based on Harder Faster Monsters by Narathin, big props to him.

About Multiplayer:

The mod works in multiplayer and functions without any issues so long as you are playing with other hunters who are using the mod. However, issues do occur with the monster's animations if you play with someone who does not have the mod. If person who is hosting the quest doesn't have the mod you will see their monster skipping around as your local monster is faster than the host monster. Likewise if you are hosting, other players who don't have the mod will see the monster on their side skipping frames to sync with the faster monster that the host has.

I advise you only use this mod with a friend group of other players who are using the same mod.
The lite version can be safely used in multiplayer/crossplay without any monster lag since it does not include any additional speed up.
