After hours of changing random hex values in the model file, I finally figured out how to remove parts and change clothing color (so that it's customizable), but it didn't work on the skin color. Still have to figure that out. Also, there are some clipping issues around the pelvis (front and back). I guess Capcom didn't bother weighting it properly. I don't know if I can remove just the pelvis underneath the swimsuit bottoms.

The model has both max quality and LOD lower quality versions. Interestingly, in-game model automatically defaults to a lesser quality model. That's why characters look terrible in-game.
When you're in equipment select or character creation, it displays the higher quality version.

I tried to remove the flower mesh, but for some reason the flower and parts of the clothing seem to be inseparable in the LOD version, so I had to put the flower back on.

Thanks. I am working on splitting it up and then putting out a version. I still haven't figured out the skin color thing.

Thanks. I'm mostly doing it because Capcom wouldn't (and still won't), when they easily could. They say they understand what people want, collect tons of player data, see the constant requests and complaints on social media, but still refuse. That's when modders have to step in.

so with the different LOD models would it be possible to replace the ingame models with the higher LOD ones from the customization menus?

I think ideally you'd want to try and force the game to do that with every model, and also tell it to use maximum resolution instead of mipmap. Someone will probably eventually find a way.
