About this mod

Quick and dirty edit of the base bone GS model into a scrawny shrunken version - to be used with weapon part replacers

Weapon model modding in mhw should theoretically be pretty easy: just remove the ugly bone base thing and the monster part handle and replace that with a new model, right?

Unfortunately, this doesn't work the way you want to in practice: when you remove the base part of those generic looking weapons, the sound effects break, and custom upgrades and augments also break, which is very unfortunate.

People have looked into alternatives, such as replacing a specific unique weapon skin and layering any other weapon into that weapon skin, but that has a problem with versatility: There are only so many unique weapon skins in the game, and the goal is to make more of the weapons into unique ones, not keep the number the same.

So I've come up with the dirtiest way to do unique weapons - shrink the generic base, so that the outside skin can be turned into its own unique weapon model.
This file contains an edited Double Edge Bone greatsword part, which you can set as a layered option. This way, you can download The "Part Replacer Version" of the Glavenus GS HD Restoration, and just layer the base part as the Double Edge Bone GS.

By using this option, you add one more unique model to the game without detracting from other unique models. Only the ugliest bone gs skin was harmed in the making of this mod.

Not sure if this needs Stracker's loader to function, but definitely use it just in case.
