About this mod
A preset for the HelloWorld Overlay ("an overlay that shows lots and lots of stuff"). Setup for ultrawide monitors (2560×1080).

I created it because the other presets available did not suit me well. In all likelihood this will need some tweaking for best results, because you probably will want things different than me, but this is a good starting point. Hopefully, depending on your resolution and the options you chose when setting your game hud, the only changes needed would be the location of the overlay elements.
Please leave a post if you have any suggestions. I do not promise to implement them but I certainly am open to new perspectives on how it can be improved.
Changes Made from Default Config:
- "native bars" - I took the idea of the "native bars" from Native Bars for HelloWorld Overlay for a few of the bars used
- most bars are much narrower
- I tried to couch the elements in places on the screen that made sense and that were not obtrusive.
- keybinds are disabled (keybinds > enable: false)
- hid all non-rare or crowned endemic life
- hid all small monsters
- made large monster highlight static - to avoid clutter I also hid non-highlighted large monsters
- disabled cheat (whatever that is)
- added non-bold alternate styling for "standard"
- set font to source sans (https://fonts.google.com/?query=source)
- set overlay to only render one level above game window
- customized layouts and styling for all rendered overlay elements
Installation:
- have HelloWorld's overlay already installed
- make your life easier by having one of the several loaders that can trigger executables with game launch (i use EXE Loader, but there is also MHW Mod Start, Monster Hunter Loader, and probably others that should work)
- launch the game to make sure your setup is working and the overlay starts with the game
- while the game and the overlay are not running, replace the config.json automatically generated by the overlay with the config you downloaded from this "mod"
- launch the game and ensure that the new config has been accepted by the overlay, and that it works for you
I hope your game experience is better for using this config!
