About this mod

Retextures the Damascus Male Armor set to look like actual Damascus steel.

Primarily designed for the layered sets, but works for the base armor as well.

Oi, Fiver! I present to you this wonderfully crafted Damascus Armor!

Terrific!

But it's not really Damascus.

Err... what do you mean?

The design's great... But Damascus steel is made from a specific type of alloy that results in a banding pat-
Fine, 'Sapphire Star.' If you're so bright, then let's see your 'dAmAsCuS aRmOr.'

This retextures the Damascus Male Armor set to look like proper Damascus with banding patterns along the metal plates that will shimmer in the light.

Additionally, the gloves and leather accents have been made brown, and chainmail has been added underneath the chest and leg pieces.

A few notes:

- High Rank Alpha set default colors match the main images
- High Rank Beta set default colors are labelled and will be a coppery color
- Master Rank Alpha set default colors are labelled and will be blue
- Master Rank Alpha set default colors are labelled and will be dark grey
- Layered Alpha and Beta set default colors match the above images without any default coloration (nothing I can really do about that on the other sets)
- All of the above can be recolored along the metal plates (including the cape now on the Alpha set)
- With the normal maps and RMT files, you will still get the Damascus patterns, just less pronounced

Version 2.0 Release

This is an optional update that boils down to personal taste. If you don't use the default waist pieces or those that are long enough, the chainmail stops and looked awkward because of the boot.

The new version changes the chainmail to cover the original cloth leggings, while reverting the boots to leather, although making them brown to match the rest of the leather accents.

Lastly, the waist pieces have a new mrl3 file that changes the lantern color to orange. If you only want the lantern color, then only install the .mrl3 files for both sets.

Version 3.0 Release (Final)

Another update that comes down to preference, but this has what I feel is the best matching chainmail for the set after searching around.

Dark Souls, you did it again, so additional thank you to TKGP for the Dark Souls Yabber and DSR Texture Packer and Unpacker and Yabber utilities.

Place all files in the nativePC folder of your Monster Hunter World directory.

A special thanks to JodoZT for the Monster Hunter World nochunk tool and continued support of the texture converter - the armor's lighting would not have been nearly as effective without the RMT conversion,
